The fateful day arrived for Matt. It was the weekend, and Evelyn just called him to inform him that they're meeting in the park for the date.
This is it, Anderson. You're gonna perform a cruel action only to be kind, and right now you're trying to make light of the situation with humor as usual cause you feel so bad about it....
Matt shook his head frantically, trying to get rid of these thoughts. He took a look down at what he chose to wear. It was rather simple, his usual clothes. Nothing too fancy or scandalous.
He started to leave his house without a word, heading for the park.
What did she ever see in me? If she's that popular with the guys, how come no one else literally got her attention? Why was it me? I'm not athletic nor academic. I'm not special, just an ordinary, mouthy high school teenager. I have problems keeping my mouth shut sometimes, but I am nice. Is that enough reason to like me?
Matt sighed once more.
The question I should probably be asking is why I like her. Well, why I started liking her to be precise. I don't know. It just sorta happened...Was it like that with Mike and Mara? Did they just happen to have mutual crushes on one another? And Eve liked me but it took a while for me to notice that and develop the same feelings she has for me...
Having been brought out of his thoughts by almost running into a pole, Matthew looked up and saw that he somehow almost made it to the park, and it terrified him. He slowly walked in and observed his surroundings. It's been a long time since he came here and enjoyed some fresh air.
"I really need to go out more" He noted to himself.
The boy sat down at a bench. There weren't much people around at this time. Matt couldn't decide if that was a good or a bad thing, so he just sat still in patience.
Evelyn was excited.
Well, she was always excited but this time around, it was special. She was finally going on a date with the boy she liked for so long! And right now, she just had to pick something pretty to wear. Nothing too extravagant but still decent for a first date.
"Hmm, what should I wear? Matthew never stated his clothing preferences...I do know he likes blue though, so maybe something blue? I like blue as well but purple is my favorite color so I guess I'll mix them up! They go well together anyways, just like the two of us!"
After finally settling on what to wear, the girl started to leave her room, walked downstairs and waved goodbye to her father, and eventually she left her big house.
The distance from the Millers' to the park was probably shorter than it is for Matt. Evelyn just had to go left for a bit and she'll see it.
"I hope he doesn't take long..."
The park started to appear shortly after, and inside it, she could see him...
"Good! He's already here!"
Innocent Eve...You have no clue what's coming up...
