"Yeah...we should probably start getting ready to go back to class, kids"
A playful smirk formed on Mara's face. "Did you just call us kids?"
Matt started stretching as he answered. "Yeah, why?"
"You're so old, oh my god" Mara laughed a bit at his expense.
Matt looked at her offended. "Excuse me? We're all around the same age, Mara"
Mara stood up, a playful smirk still on her face. "You're still old" She restated, confident in her remark as ever.
"Well okay, how old are you then?" Matt questioned.
"Sixteen" Mara answered.
Matt put up his hands in sarcastic surrender. "Well what a surprise, I'm sixteen too"
"What month?" The brunette inquired.
"January" He raised a brow, but then he realized where she was going with this. "Before you say it, yes, technically I am older than Mike cause he's in September but my point still stands"
Evelyn looked up in pleasant surprise "Oh my god, I was born on September too!". Mike's eyes widened in surprise as well. "There aren't many of us around"
Jordi's eyes lit up. "I was born in September as well"
"What about you, miss Nakamura? Do you by chance happen to be the most delicate, youngest member of this group?" Matt spoke in a sarcastic sweet voice, mocking Mara.
Mara rolled her eyes at Matt. "Don't call me delicate, and I was born in October"
Mike butted in the conversation. "That does make you the youngest...Unless..." He turned around and looked at Asher expectedly.
Asher smirked. "Looks like Mara is the tiny baby of the group. I was born in February". Mara spoke up quickly. "I am not the baby!!"
"You are though, you're tiny and the youngest. Baby Mara totally fits you" Matt giggled to himself, amused that Mara's teasing backfired on her.
She huffed and sat back down, crossing her arms. "I am not tiny nor the baby!"
Mike giggled at her behavior. "Aww, it's okay. I still like you" He blushed a bit.
Mara couldn't help but blush slightly. "Ya'll are dorks" She stood up again. Perhaps trying to make herself seem not as tiny.
"I only say you're kids cause I know I'm the closest to earth. Now that we proved that, can we go back to class?" Matt started walking away without waiting an answer. He didn't hear Mike mutter about how rude it was to leave them like that.
Evelyn stood up as well but decided to walk with her friends. "Okay then, let's go" The blonde stood by Jordi, and Mike stood up near Mara.
Jordi stood up and linked her arms' with Eve's. "Off to the learning battlefield we go!".
Mara laughed at the redhead's remark. "See? This is what I meant when I said dorks"
Mike got in Mara's face and smirked. "That's what makes us such good friends, M" He laughed some more before turning to Asher. "Come on, Ash. Let's go before Matt throws a tantrum"
Mara tried speaking but just ended up making error noises. Asher laughed at the petite girl's behavior and walked out first. He was followed by Mike, who started to leave as well, and Evelyn started walking with Jordi too, and the two girls shared a laugh over Mara and then started talking and giggling about the rest of their friends and other things.
Mara eventually realized that she was the only one of her friends left. She quickly snapped out of it and ran after them.
"Hey, wait for me!" She called out to them as she quickened her pace.
