Hello guys, welcome back once again to this collab. In this chapter, there's gonna be some time jump things. We're gonna see the Evelyn incident that Mike mentioned last time, as well as see the convo that Mike and Mara had (first time my characters interact with Melon's characters)
I know I probably shouldn't have spoiled it (kinda?) but I felt like I needed to explain it in case someone got confused about the timeline.
Enjoy!

Earlier...

The sweet Miller girl was walking down the cafeteria with her lunch tray in her hands, heading to a table to wait for her best friend.

Nate, Dexter, Rose, and their football buddies were walking by. Nate laughed and said "Look at her! Walking alone like a loner"

They all laughed.

Evelyn shrunk down and didn't respond.

She always despised those popular kids, and honestly who doesn't? She wished they were popular in a way like her.

Good publicity, but no.

They just had to be jerks.

She frowned.

Rose laughed again. "Awe look, she doesn't like it"

Dexter laughed. "Go cry to your mommy, ya baby!"

Evelyn almost cried...she tried standing up, meaning both getting up from her seat and facing the bullies by that.

When it looked like she was about to let out a warning in a threatening tone, it instead came out as: "Please leave me in peace..."

A plea in a desperate voice.

They all laughed.

"Look at her! Trying to stand up for herself! WEAAAKK!" Nate yelled then laughed.

Our girl backed off, she turned away and was about to leave the table when a voice she knew very well called out.

"Hey! Leave her alone!" Jordi walked over to the group.

"Jordi, please...." Evelyn tried, but to no avail. She knew Jordi was just too stubborn. Such a tomboy.

At least she was a good friend.

"You guys are nothing but worthless bullies! Leave her alone!"

Nate huffed. "You're one to talk, tomboy"

"I'm more of a boy then you'll ever be!"

Rose huffed. "What are you? A disgusting trans?"

Jordi was ready to punch, but she knew better.

"Just get lost!"

Evelyn walked closer to Jordi, putting an arm on her shoulder and shaking her head.

"They're not worth it, Jordan"

Jordi seemed a bit surprised at the touch, she looked away from her friend.

Luckily, the bullies seem to have gotten the message at this point, walking away with the "you two are boring anyways" excuse.

Jordi sighed as soon as they were gone.

"They are just useless bullies. They deserve to be put into their place"

"I know..." Evelyn mumbled, then she hugged Jordi tightly as a thank you.

"You're the best friend I ever had"

A small smile came on Jordi's face, and she hugged back.

"You're the best too, Evelyn"

Evelyn let go of her, failing to notice Jordi's disappointed face.
