Many long and boring minutes later, it was finally time for lunch. Everyone ran out immediately to the canteen. Mike was one of the first to come out.
"Hey Mara! Race you to the canteen!" He yelled and started running while laughing.
Mara laughed and ran after him."Hey! That's not fair!"
Asher laughed and rolled his eyes, muttering "Idiots"
Matt just happened to step out right as Asher said that so he replied. "I agree, dude. I wholeheartedly agree"
Asher laughed more. "We are friends with a whole bunch of idiots"
Jordi just silently walked past the two to the canteen.
Matt didn't pay any mind to Jordi because to him, it's already settled.
"Yes, but that is why we love them to bits" He looked off in the direction where Mike and Mara went with a grin.
"So true" Asher smiled and did the same.
The conversation seemed to stop there. Matt didn't know how to keep it going. He and Asher never really agreed on anything besides that they both love their friends and that Nate, Dexter and Rose suck.
Asher sighed a bit and turned to Matt, deciding to end the awkward silence. "Oh uhm, I just wanted to say good job defending us earlier"
Matt turned to him with a raised eyebrow. "Oh, it was nothing. You weren't too bad yourself" He teased Ash with a smile.
Asher laughed a bit and held up his fist for a fist bump.
He laughed along and fist bumped him. "For how long have you been using that?" Matt wondered.
He shrugged a bit and put his hand in his pocket. "For as long as I can remember, honestly"
"Ah, must be a tic" Matt said. While the two talked, Evelyn came out of the classroom and saw them.
"Asher, Matt? What are you doing?" She looked at the boys in confusion.
"Hm? Oh, just talking, Eve. Don't worry, I wasn't gonna beat him up yet" Asher joked.
Matt laughed a bit. "Wow"
Evelyn laughed a bit as well. "Well, I'm glad you're getting along" She smiled sweetly at them. "We should go now. Come on" She urged them to start moving, so Matt started walking.
Asher laughed a bit as well and followed.
