Triple Trouble: Part Two

Later in the cafeteria, the six were gathered around on one table as usual. The seating went from left to right: Matt, Asher, Mike, Mara, Jordi and Evelyn.

As the group talked, Mara turned to Jordi. "Hey, could we talk?" But the latter completely ignored Mara, putting her arms around Eve instead.

"Heeeeeeey, rude" Mike said and patted Mara's head in comfort. Matt looked at Jordi with a raised brow, but he didn't say anything. Evelyn meanwhile, looked at Jordi with sad eyes.

"Jordan...are you alright? You've been pretty down since this morning"

Mara looked over at Mike and forced a small smile. Jordi smiled at Eve. "Yup, fine"

Evelyn didn't question her any further and just reciprocated her hug. They went back to silence...before getting disturbed once again. Guess by who?

A voice rang out from a nearby table "Awwwee. Look at the nerds sitting together!"

Mike groaned in annoyance, Matt buried his face in his hands and Evelyn started to feel uneasy again.

Mara kept her head down, pulling out her headphones. The three from the hall got up and walked over to the table. "Look what we got here"

"You must be making an extra effort into being a pain in the neck today" Matt deadpanned.

Dexter rolled his eyes and Asher laughed a bit.

"Now get lost! We're having fun over here! And by that, we mean hang out with each other, not torment other people!" Mike spat at them.

Dexter rolled his eyes. "Awe, look at little Mikey trying to speak up"

Mara put in her headphones.

"Shouldn't you be with your two lackeys now? Or is it you that is the lackey?" Matthew mocked him in a deadpan voice again.

It was Nate's turn to roll his eyes. Asher glared at the group. "Get lost, guys"

"By the time you're thinking of your first comeback, you'd already be destroyed cause none of you three have average intelligence" Matt snarked.

Rose whispered something to Nate. Nate nodded and walked off with her. Dexter rolled his eyes. "Oh, shut up nerd"

"Ha! Your bosses left you on your own! Better hurry back to them!" Mike laughed at them aloud.

Dexter rolled his eyes again and walked off.

Matt was giggling uncontrollably to himself at Mike's last diss. "Wow, that was perfect, Mikey"

"Well, you know me, Matty. Always in sync with you!" Mike exclaimed proudly. At the end of it all, Evelyn sighed at the boys' antics.

Jordi rolled her eyes. Asher was laughing as well, he held up a fist bump for Mike.

Mike fist bumped Asher and made a "chick-a-plao" sound, then he turned to Mara." What'd you think of that, M?"

Mara just gave a small thumbs up, still silent.

It quieted down again, and they were at peace.
