Mikara Brightens The Day

Asher was slowly making his way to the school with his head down. He dreaded walking into that building. After all that happened lately, everyone will go on Matt's side and turn against him. He would be the bad guy in the story.

As the boy neared the building, a voice called his name from behind him. He turned to see who it was.

Rose smiled a little at the sight of him. "Hey Ash"

"Hey Rose.."

"You doing ok?"

"Somewhat..."

Seeing as he was still downhearted from the recent occurrences, Rose hugged the boy. "It's ok Ash, you just got mad"

"and I beat up one of my friends" He expressed regretfully, tears returning to his eyes, as if he didn't cry enough yesterday in his room, alone.

She sighed a little and hugged him tighter in an attempt to comfort him. "Why don't we stick together today, so you aren't walking around alone?"

"That would be nice" Asher smiled a little for the first time that day.

"Then that's what we'll do" She took his hand and the two walked into the school together.

Inside the school, Matt, Jordi and Evelyn were walking side by side with tension in the air. None of the three said anything. Matt did get a few glares as he walked by though and Eve tried to comfort him about it. Jordi was one of those who gave him a glare every once in a while as well.

Thankfully, two cheery voices made it all go away.

"...So after we get back, we gather everyone and invite them to hang out and eat. How's that for a plan, little Mara?"

It was Mike, and he was talking with his tiny shrimp of a girlfriend.

Mara smiled, holding onto Mike's arm. "Sounds perfect"

"Do not hold my arm!" Mike scolded playfully.

Mara booped him on the nose and held onto him tighter, smiling at him teasingly. "Too late!"

"Nooooooo!" He whined, but soon he found himself laughing at their antics. "What are we even doing anymore?"

"Being a light in our dark lives, Mikey"

Mike and Mara were both surprised to find their friends behind them, they both blushed slightly. What was even more of a surprise to them was that Matt was the one to say that.

"Oh, good morning guys! I have great news. Mara, tell them what we're doing after our date"

Mara smiled at them. "We are gonna gather everyone and just hang out and eat!"

"Are you sure you don't want us to come along on your little date, hmmm?" Matt teasingly winked.

"Oh shush-" Mara laughed a little. Jordi rolled her eyes jokingly.

Mike laughed and shook his head. "Sorry Matty, that's classified information"

"That sounds like a lot of fun! We'll definitely go!" Evelyn exclaimed.

Mike clapped. "Okay great! We'll call you to inform you when to go"

"Yup!" Mara smiled brightly.
