The two brothers maintained a sombre silence as Loki skilfully navigated the ship over the desolate landscape of Svartalfheim. Jane remained unconscious on the ship's floor, while Alice stood by Loki's side in thoughtful silence. The quiet was abruptly shattered when Jane stirred awake.

"Jane," Thor called out to her.

The astrophysicist sat up; her gaze fixed on what lay ahead of the ship. Her eyes bore an otherworldly glow, revealing an unnatural colour.

"Malekith," she said.

Observing Jane, Loki contemplated whether leaving Alice behind with Lady Sif might have been a prudent choice. The thought of anything happening to Alice weighed heavily on his conscience. He skilfully landed the ship behind some rocks, attempting to conceal it. Thor assisted Jane in getting up, and the four of them disembarked in silence. They halted at the mountain's edge, staring at Malekith and his forces.

"Alright," Thor address his beloved girlfriend, "Are you ready?" Jane nodded.

"I am," Loki replied with sarcasm, earning a disapproving glare from Alice.

The trio stood firm, while Jane stayed hidden. Malekith fixed a sinister gaze up the three.

"You know, this plan of yours is going to get us killed," Loki informed, "If anything happens to her..." He whispered to his brother, pointing to Alice.

Yes, possibly," Thor said, keeping his eyes on Malekith.

Loki displayed his cuffed hands to his brother, "You still don't trust me, brother?"

Thor chuckled, "Would you?"

"Come on, Thor, uncuff him," Alice pleaded to the god, worried that keeping Loki cuffed would jeopardize him. Reluctantly, Thor yielded and broke Loki's handcuffs.

The god of mischief placed his hands behind his back, "No, I wouldn't trust me." He took out a knife, stabbed his brother's stomach and shoved him off the mountain. Alice stared at the shocking scene. She had truly believed Loki had changed, that he was no longer evil.

"You fucking idiot!" Alice screamed while trying to reach Loki, who was already running after his brother. She picked up Jane and jumped, landing in front of Loki. "Stop this, now!"

"You really think I cared about Friga?" Loki spat with disgust, "About Alice? About any of you?" He kicked his own brother, causing him to groan in pain.
