When the truth is, I miss you

Yeah the truth is, that I miss you so

And I'm tired I should not have let you go

So I crawl back into your open arms

Alice landed at the Berlin airport around four in the afternoon. As usual, her first order of business was finding a place to lay low. After a brief search, it seemed like all the available apartments were either too risky or already occupied, ruling out hotels as an option. In a moment of uncertainty, one of her disposable phones buzzed. Panic set it – no one should have access to her numbers, not even Fury.

Thought you might need a safe place to stay. Be careful. Tremors.

A smile appeared onto the face of the former assassin as she read the message. Daisy had sent her the location of a safe house she could stay. Attached to the text was an address - Pfarrstrasse, Lichtenberg. Alice wasted no time and made her way there, climbing four flights of stairs since the building didn't have an elevator. The apartment, though small, offered comfort. A single room with a decent bed, a kitchen adjacent, and a small bathroom. It was way better than the place she was before. After putting her backpack down, she armed herself with a few knives and a gun and headed towards John-Sieg-Straße, the street where Bucky was last seen.

Fortunately, it wasn't too far from her safe house, and she soon found herself at a local grocery store. A small, inconspicuous place with no security cameras, the perfect spot for Bucky to buy all the basic supplies he needed. As Alice entered, she greeted the old man behind the counter with a smile. She moved through the store, grabbing a pack of chips and a water bottle to avoid raising suspicion.

"Hallo," she smiled at the clerk.

"Hallo Fraulein," he smiled back, "Ist das alles?"

"Ja," the man began scanning her products, "Sprichen Sie Englisch? Mein Deutsch ist nicht sehr gut."

"Yes, a little bit..." he answered her with a strong German accent.

"I haven't seen my brother in many years, and I know he lives around here," she grabbed a picture of Bucky she had on her pocket, "Have you seen him? I really need to find him, sir."

The man put his glasses on the tip of his nose and closely examined the picture, "Oh, yes. He comes here sometimes to buy food. Doesn't talk a lot, never smiles."

"Yeah, that sounds like him. Do you know where he lives?"

"No, I don't," he looked at her with an apologetic look on his face, "I'm sorry, miss. If you want to, you can wait here for him. I don't know if he will be coming in today, but you never know, right?"
