Our memories, well, they can be inviting

But some are altogether mighty frightening

As we die, both you and I

With my head in my hands, I sit and cry

After they were fully geared up and ready to go, Alice, Steve, Sam, and Maria navigated through the dense forest towards Shield's headquarters. Natasha had already assumed her position within Shield.

"You good?" Alice asked Steve as they walked.

"I am. You?" Steve inquired.

"I'm good..." she answered faintly. "I don't know what I'm gonna do once we save him."

Steve chuckled, "That makes two of us."

Once inside Shield, the quartet made their way to the control room, successfully neutralizing the employees who were there. Steve took the microphone to address all Shield agents, revealing the infiltration of Hydra, Alexander Pierce's leadership, and the assassination attempt on Fury and Onyx. His impassioned speech resonated through the building, exposing the truth and rallying those still loyal to the genuine cause of Shield.

Sam teased Steve after his speech, injecting some humour into the tense atmosphere. "Did you write that down first or was it off the top of your head.

"Oh, he's very good at inspiring and heartfelt speeches," Alice joined in the teasing. "Once he gave me a forty-five-minute speech about experimenting new things only because I didn't want to try sushi."

After, Alice, Steve, and Sam sprinted towards the landing strip where the Helicarriers were poised for launch.

"They're initiating launch," Hill informed them through the intercom.

"Hey, Cap," Sam queried as they ran, "how do we know the good guys from the bad guys?"

"If they're shooting at you, they're bad," Steve responded.

When it was time to jump down, Sam used his wings, while Alice and Steve jumped, and then kept running. Soon the gunfire began, and the pair of best friends had to hide behind a few trucks.

"You go right, I go left?" Alice suggested, and Steve nodded. They parted ways, engaging in combat with anyone attempting to shoot them down.

"Hey, Cap, I found those bad guys you were talking about," Sam complained on his intercom as explosions echoed in the background.

"You okay?" Steve questioned.

"I'm not dead yet."

"I'm gonna take care of that, don't worry, Sam," Alice hurried to the canons firing against Sam. Using all her strength, she smashed one of the canons, causing it to explode. She then moved to the other canons, tearing them in half.
