The five of them squeezed into the car, with Sam taking the driver's seat, Steve in the passenger seat, and Alice, Nat, and Sitwell in the back.
Sitwell stood up, turning to Steve, "Hydra doesn't like leaks."
"Then why don't you try sticking a cork in it?" Sam retorted, glancing at Sitwell through the rear-view mirror.
"Insight's launching in 16 hours," Nat informed, her tone reflecting the urgency of the situation. "We're cutting it a little bit close here."
"I know," Steve acknowledged, determination in his voice. "I'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the Helicarriers directly."
"What? Are you crazy?" Sitwell yelled while looking at Steve. "That is a terrible, terrible idea."
Out of nowhere, a figure leaped onto the car, shattered the window on Sitwell's side, and tossed him onto the highway, killing him instantly. Alice recognized the metal arm – it was him, the Winter Soldier. Gunfire erupted from the backseat, where Alice and Natasha were. Reacting quickly, Steve slammed on the brakes, causing the Winter Soldier to fly onto the highway and stop himself with his metal arm.
Natasha pulled out her gun, pointing it at the Winter Soldier. "NO!" Alice screamed.
Suddenly, another car collided with theirs, causing Alice and Nat to hit their heads on the seats in front of them. The car behind sped up, making theirs speed up as well, bringing them closer to the Winter Soldier, who jumped onto their car once more. Despite Sam's attempts to brake, the Winter Soldier used his metal arm to break the top of the car and pull out the steering wheel.
"Shit!" Sam cursed.
Natasha fired her gun at the ceiling, and Alice tried to grab it from her, but Nat resisted. The Winter Soldier jumped onto the car behind them, causing their vehicle to zigzag through the highway.
"Nat, Alice, get on our laps. Now! Steve ordered, anticipating the impeding danger. The two women complied, and Alice went to Steve's lap, while Natasha went to Sam's. "Hang on!" Steve exclaimed just as the car was about to flip.
