'Cause I can't make you love me if you don't

You can't make your heart feel something it won't

Here in the dark, in these final hours

I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power

But you won't, no you won't

'Cause I can't make you love me, if you don't

Steve and Alice nestled into the plush cushions of her couch, a fluffy blanket draped over their laps. She insisted on going to her apartment for a few nights because she missed it, and Steve felt obliged to join her. Alice's heart skipped a beat, her stomach knotting with anxiety. She hadn't anticipated this conversation, though, knowing Steve like she did, she knew it was inevitable. "Steve, I..."
