Alessia's POV

"STEFANO, I don't understand what's happening." I acted like I am concerned. "I waited for you the whole day but you didn't come. I thought the whole plan was changed so I stayed here." With my clueless tone, it added the the play better than I initially planned.

"Preposterous! You were there in the hidden room together with that servant girl and Mureles!" Biglang sumabog si Natalia sa galit. Her face was contorted with anger, trying to throw some shade. Natalia is just digging her own grave. Kahit sino ang tatanungin, iisipin na mas gusto niyang mamatay ako.

Nagbigay naman ako ng nagugulohan na ekspresyon. "Stefano? Maaari mo bang ipaliwanag sa akin ang mga nangyayari?" Tiningnan ko si Stefano at agad naman niyang nakuha ang ibig kong sabihin.

"Isinama kita kanina papunta sa tagong silid, milady." Sagot ni Stefano at yun naman ang gusto kong marinig mula sa kanya.

"See? You were there! I saw you died!" Para itong nanalo sa lotto dahil sa naging sagot ni Stefano. Nakangisi ito, taliwas sa dapat malungkot dahil namatay daw ako.

Kumunot naman ang aking noo. "You did not, Stefano. I waited for you." Nababahalang saad ko sa kanya. Tumingin naman ako kay Natalia. "Your highness, if it's in deed it was me, how am I still alive? If you said I died, that means you saw everything. How am I still alive, if it was really me? I'm confused because you're telling me I was there, when I was in my room the whole time." Nagbigay ako ng nababahalang ekspresyon at kunyari ay biglang may naisip. "I-is someone c-capable of...copying another person?"

Tila may napagtanto naman ito sa aking sinabi. Nakita ko ang pamumutla ni Natalia. "That's not possible."

"Then how, your highness?" A flash of flared glint in my eyes glowed. "Could it be that my aid knows it was a fake me?"

"You're spouting nonsense! I was sure it was you!" Akusa nito at halos mapangiti naman ako sa kanyang nagiging reaksyon. She's panicking and soon she will blurt out something that she's not supposed to.

"Your highness, you don't know me that well for you to tell it was really me. You were sure that I was dead, when I am still alive, clueless of what's happening. Forgive me for being disrespectful your highness, but it seems like your covering the real culprit if you still insist that it was me in that room. If you won't accept the fact that there was someone else pretending to be me and even got killed, it will be possible that your palace has already been infiltrated, or worse, it was a demon who copied me and together with you in the secret room." Nakita ko kung paano nahindik si Natalia sa haba ng sinabi ko at mga posibilidad. "Are you going to wait for the day until you are already killed because of wrong assumption, your highness?"

Hindi nakapagsalita si Natalia. Tila naumid ang dila nito at sa nakikita ko ay naniwala na ito sa sinasabi ko. She's already contemplating. Alam ko na malabong mapasok ang palasyo ng demon na nagpapanggap, ngunit hindi ko naman alam na mauuto itong si Natalia.

"I'll investigate this matter, milady. But if it was not you, why did you not come and find me?" Tanong ulit ni Stefano na kung hindi ko lang alam ay iisipin ko na talaga na naniniwala ito sa akin.

"I was scared...I heard the loud noise outside, the scary voices of the demons. I won't dare to go out." Tugon ko sa kanya at nagbigay ako ng natatakot na ekspresyon. "Maybe there are still few who already infiltrated that we are not aware of. By the way, I need my aid here." Tugon ko naman at naalala ko naman si Estrebelle. Malaki ang posibilidad na gagawan ito ng masama dahil ito ang natatanging saksi na papanig sa akin.

"We cannot let her go. She's in the dungeon because she killed someone." Nahihintakutan na saad ni Natalia sa akin. Alam ko na hindi ito papayag lalo na at si Estrebelle ang saksi sa mga pangyayari.
