Chapter 12

Jay: How are you?
Mouse: I'm good! Look jay, I know what you wanna ask so just ask it.
Jay: Why didn't you tell me you came back?
Mouse: I couldn't come back to Chicago, Erin got me from overseas at the right moment. A few days after I left my unit had went out on a mission, they got ambushed and none of them survived. She literally saved my life. After she recruited me, I went through an adjustment period and it took a while to get through it. Erin had my back the whole time, but Leo played a major part in my recovery he reminded me of you so much. I would tell him stories about us, and just hanging around him gave me that positive push.
Jay: Why didn't you tell me he was mine?
Mouse: As much as I consider you my brother, this was something I had to do for Erin. If I would've told you, then you would've came to New York and with the stalker on the loose who knows what would've happened.
Jay: As much as I hate not being there, I'm glad she had family looking out for her. So thank you for having her back and Leo's. I can tell he really loves his uncle Mouse.
Mouse: That little boy loves you and Erin more than anything. Every bedtime story was literally about you, or he would ask for the story about how you two met.

Mouse: who is it?
Leo: it's mee!
Mouse: Whatcha need Leo?
Leo: Do you know where daddy went, I want him to play the game with me.
Jay: I'm right here, and of course I would like to play.
Leo: Thank you Daddy!
Jay: I don't think I will ever get use to hearing that.
Mouse: You got yourself a great kid, Erin did a Amazing job in New York.
Jay: She really did, Hey Thank you!
Mouse: For what?
Jay: You had a hand in raising him too....
Leo: Daddy come on!
Jay: I better go, I can't mess up on my first day as a dad.
Mouse: you won't.

Back outside with the team....

Erin: So I never got to ask y'all how do y'all truly feel about me coming back.
Kim: Honestly I am excited, it's so good to have you back.
Kevin: Happy to have you bacK, but still upset at how you left us.
Adam: yea, Glad to have you back, but that did hurt all of us.
Antonio: Good to have you back, but their right as much as it hurt us when you left it broke jay. I have never seen him like that, he was equivalent to your sabbatical.
Erin: First I am happy to be home, second I know when I left it hurt you all but if I had told you goodbye that night I would've broke. Y'all don't understand it was hard for me, once jay moved out I was alone. I waited and waited but he wouldn't come home, then my case made things even worse so when the FBI gave me an out from my crisis I had to take it. I know I have some repairing to do with everyone, but for now I can only say I'm sorry.
Kim: I accept your apology.
The team: we accept your apology.
Kevin: it's good to have you back linds i mean Sergeant Lindsay.
Erin: Really Kev, Cheers to new beginnings 🍻!
The team: 🍻.
Adam: So what do you want us to call you?
Erin: Anything but sergeant, except when we are around the important people.
Team: okay, sounds good.

Nick and mouse came back outside and joined the team.
Erin: Where's Leo?
Mouse: In his room, Leo asked jay to play the game.
Erin: I'm surprise he's still woke, usually he's out.
Antonio: He's excited, can you blame him!
Erin: Nope, not one bit.
Kevin: Damn jay really has a son!
Adam: Jay... I can't believe Erin has a kid.
Erin: Hey what's that suppose to mean?
Adam: back then you were afraid to be like bunny, so I never imagined you with kids. Now that you have a kid, I can honestly say you did an amazing job by yourself.
Erin: Thank you, but I wasn't alone I had these guys and my team.
Adam: y'all did a great job then.

The team hung out and chatted for a little while longer. It was starting to get late, so Erin wrapped up the evening. Erin went to check on Leo, she opened the door and as saw the cutest thing, they were both sleep and Leo was cuddled up into Jay's side. Jay had Leo wrapped into a bear hug. Erin quickly called the team over to see how cute they were together. Adam of course snapped a picture, he said he would use it as blackmail but it's to cute. Everyone left while nick, and mouse helped clean up the room.
