The Return....

Chapter 29

Erin decided she wanted to wait to tell Jay, she want the announcement to be special. This was gonna be the first child he was present for the entire pregnancy so it had to be special. Erin told everyone that knew about the pregnancy to keep it on the low until she found a creative way to tell Jay. She knew how she wanted to tell Leo, cause he would be just as excited. Jay was released from the hospital, but he would need help while he was home, and Will volunteered to help him out.

Erin had to stay in the hospital a extra week to make sure everything was okay. Mouse and Nadia helped out a lot with get Leo to and from school and baseball practice. Even though he fractured his arm he still shows up and helps his teammates out. Will has been teaching him some rehab techniques to keep him arm strong, so when he's ready he would okay to get back out there.

Almost 2 weeks later.....

Erin was supposed to get out a few days ago, but she felt something off with the baby. Turns out all of Erin morning was causing her dehydration so baby was suffering to, but nothing a little food and water couldn't fix.

Natalie: Before you leave would you like to see how baby is doing?
Erin: Yes, but I don't see him or her without jay.
Natalie: okay, so your measuring at about 11-1/2 weeks. Wow your almost done with your for trimester. Would like to hear the heartbeat.
Erin: Yea!

Natalie: Baby H has nice strong heartbeat.
Erin: Thank you Nat.
Natalie: So have you figured out how your going to tell him.
Erin: Yea I think so. I want to do a scavenger hunt in the house for him, since we both injured.
Natalie: I think we will love it, he's gonna be to excited I can guarantee you that.
Erin: not only him but Leo to, but I definitely want to tell him before I really start showing.
Natalie: That would be very wise of you. I'm going to go grab your discharge papers and Will said he would drop you off at home.
Erin: Thank you!
Natalie: No problem and Good luck!

After getting her discharge papers Will brought Erin back to home. He helped out the car and into the house. Will went her rules to Jay, she's aloud to walk around but no longer 15-20 minutes. She's suppose to be resting for another week at least. Erin had the best idea, Easter was coming up in a few days, so she decided to have 2 scavenger hunts, one regular for Leo and one baby hunt for Jay. Since only a limited amount of people knew about it, she had to ask one of them for help. She called in Brett, because she was very creative. So she spent the next week getting everything together. During the week Leo coach had called and mention the team had their baseball pictures on that Friday. This gave Erin a great idea for telling Leo.

That Friday during pictures Will and Erin brought Leo to take pictures. They did there team photos first then it was their individuals. Erin asked the photographer could Leo go last and if she could also do her a favor. Leo took a few pictures in his baseball uniform, then Erin switched his shirts for the other pictures. After they took the picture Leo changed back into his uniform and went ran off with the other kids.

Will: Do you think suspected anything?
Erin: Nope, I just told him we could hang these photos around the house.
Will: wow, okay I would say this was a success then. Next your actually telling Jay.
Erin: Not really, his is more of a scavenger hunt I will give him clues until he figure it out.
Will: I like that idea! I think Jay's gonna love it.
Erin: I hope so!
Will: alright well let's get you and Leo back to the house before Jay starts calling.

Everything had been going to plan, Erin was so excited to tell Jay..... she just wanted to burst it out...

Easter morning.........

It was a beautiful day outside, it was nice, warm and the sunny was at full peak. Erin had gotten up first, she went into the backyard and laid all the eggs out for Leo's scavenger hunt, and then she also went and placed all the clues around the house for jay. It had been about 10:30am before both boys decided to wake up. Will, Nat and Owen came by and made the family some breakfast, but the really was there to see the look on Jay's face when he found out.

Erin: okay Leo and Owen, the Easter bunny left you guys some Easter eggs outside scattered across the yard. I believe there was 50 eggs, now let's see who can find the most.

Owen: I think I will!
Leo: I think I will!
Erin: on your marks get set GOOOOOOO.....
Jay: This should be super fun..
Erin: actually you have your one scavenger hunt. Here's you first clue.....

Hey baby I'm so glad your here,
it's been a long day you should grab yourself a beer!
Jay: okay, so I go to the fridge.

Second clue- The next clue on your hunt will keep you on your toes, now go to the place where we hang our clothes!

Jay: Our closet. What is it!
Erin: I don't know, you gotta do the hunt!

Third clue-Now go ahead and get changed for the day. Once you get comfy your next clue is where the records play!

Jay: the living room. Come on Err tell me.
Erin: Nope but your doing great.

Fourth clue- wanting more, why don't you check the front door?

Jay: The front door?
Erin: Go ahead!

Fifth clue- Don't worry your search is almost over, check behind the tv and you'll get some closure!

Jay: Your losing me err....
Erin: Your almost there!

Sixth clue- Before the hunt end give me some lovin, then go look and there's something baking in the oven.

Jay: Babe this is so weird.
Erin: You gotta finish the hunt!
Jay: Fine, okay you said there's something in the oven.

Jay walks to the oven and opens it, he sees the bun and picks it up. He turned to Erin and says, " There's just a bun in the oven".

Jay: Seriously Babe I did all of this just for a bun in the oven.
Erin: Yes, Because this bun in the oven is really special.
Jay: what do you mean?
Erin: This Bun is a mixture of you and me!
Jay: bun in the oven, mixture of you and m..... No.. Noooo way are you serious. Babe you have a little bun in there?
Erin: Yea!
Jay: We're having a baby?
Erin: We're having a baby!
Natalie: 🥺 Oh my gosh congratulations to you guysss. This was so much cuter than I expected.
Will: Congratulations lil Bro, Your about to be a dad again.
Jay: Thank you, wait is that why you came over?
Will: Guilty, we wanted to see your face. I can honestly say it was so worth it!
