The Return....

Chapter 46

Jay: I reckon it is, I got an amazing woman beside me and 2 amazing kids, a job that I love and friends that are like family what more could I ask for!!!!!

After having a heartfelt conversation with Allie's parent Jay finally realized how truly blessed he was. Allie's parents had asked him "When and How did he know Erin was the one for him?" Jay didn't have to think long about his answer.

Jay: I knew she was the one when I first met her. It was my first day in Intelligence, I had just met our former boss. He brought me out and introduced me to the team, but then this feisty woman walks up the stairs. We linked with our eyes instantly, my heart felt like it was beating outside of my body. Then when she introduced herself to me she smiled and her dimples came out. I knew from that day on she was the one I wanted to wake up next to everyday for the next 70 years. Our former boss, her dad did everything in his power to keep us apart but when we finally got our chance another curve ball hit. You guys remember Abby right?
Allie's mom: The one from your ranger days.
Jay: Yea that's her, well we got married way back then and I thought we annulled the marriage but apparently she didn't. When she came back it also brought back memories from my ranger days I preferred hidden. It got so bad that I had to walk away from Erin just so I could figure it all out, but by the time I was ready to come home she had packed up everything and left. That's when shit really hit the fan for me. I went back to my days of when I first came back. I was barely functioning it took a lot of people to pull me out. 8 years went by without a single word from Erin.
Allie's dad: So what brought you too back?
Jay: Our former boss was killed, and our sergeant called her and told her what happened. Let's just say her return wasn't so pretty, I found out at had a 7 year son. It wasn't until she accepted the job as our boss, could she tell me about him. There was a lot of legal problems that kept them from telling us.

So when did I know I was gonna marry her, it was a few months before I asked her to be my girlfriend again. From the moment she said yes I started planning how I wanted to propose, first I had to get Leo's permission. Him and Er are bestfriends so it was only fitting, he was just as happy as I was. When we found out we were pregnant with Chloe I wanted to include her to so I had Will set up a newborn photography shoot, and me and Er would take turns changing her onesie. Then on her second to last one it read "mommy will you marry my daddy". Of course she said yes and the rest is history. How did I know she was the one, because every time I'm i hear her laugh my heart skips a beat, when I'm feeling down on my luck just a glance from her can brighten my entire day. She does so much for me , some days I feel like she could do so much better than me.

Erin was wiping her tears when she walked up behind Jay and wrapped her arms around him.  "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, you are the love of my life". Jay wiped the tears off of her face before hugging her back.

Jay: You guy's remember my fiancé.
Allie's parents: How could we forget, you've been talking about her for the last hour.
Jay: How come your down here?
Erin: The bed got cold and you weren't there, then I found your note.
Jay: I wanted to surprise you with breakfast in bed but I guess I will have to try again another time.
Erin: I already said yes to spending the rest of my life with you, so we will definitely have time for breakfast in bed.
Allie's mom: Well we will get out of your hair and let you two love birds grab breakfast.
Jay: When do you all leave to go back to Chicago?
Allie's dad: I think tomorrow night.
Jay: Well if we don't see you before you leave we will come visit and introduce you to our kids.
Allie's mom: That would be wonderful , bye sweetheart.
Jay+Erin: Byeee!

Jay got up and went to grab their breakfast, while Erin waited at the table for him. When he returned with their food, Erin had one thing she wanted to talk to him about.

Jay: Something is on your mind, what's up?
Erin: I'm ready!
Jay: Ready for what?
Erin: To start planning our wedding. 
Jay: Are you serious? What made you want to start planning.
Erin: The way you talked about our family today, I just can't wait to make it official. I want everyone to know that your mine and I'm yours.
Jay: I can't wait either, do you have a date in mind?
Erin: I'm thinking July 30- Aug 1.
Jay: I like it, so nine months from now I can call you my wife.
Erin: I get to call you my husband.
Jay: Where are we thinking about tying the know at?
Erin: I've thought about this long and hard, I thought of a place that is special to both of us.
Jay: Okay where is that?
Erin: Wrigley field, Your mom brought you to your first Cubs game there, Hank also brought me to my first game there.
Jay: I was the happiest I'd had ever been when I was with her that day.
Erin: I was so happy when Hank brought me as well, I had finally found a family that loved me.
Jay: I think Wrigley would be amazing, all we have to do is ask Your Bestfriend Joe Maddon.
Erin: He's more like an uncle, and I'm quite sure he would do this for us. Who are you thinking of for the Best Man?
Jay: That Will be tough but I would have to say it's either Mouse or Will. What about you who your maid of honor?
Erin: Since we have nine months of waiting, I have to go with Nadia. I would choose Kim but Nadia has been there through it all with me so I want her standing next to me.
Jay: I know this is tough but who will walk you down the isle?
Erin: I was thinking Trudy, but I have someone else in mind..... I want .........to walk me down the isle.
Jay: I think that would be absolutely amazing.

Erin and Jay continued talking some more before they both went back to their room to prepare for their day at Universal Studios. This is actually all of their first time going so this should definitely be funny......
