Chapter 17

Jay: So, how do you feel?
Erin: like I just got my ass handed to me.
Jay: you kinda did.😂
Erin: Not funny, where's Leo?
Jay: Mouse has him, I can ask him to bring him over now.
Erin: Please, cause I know he probably worried.
Jay: He is, when Will dropped him off, he automatically knew something was wrong. Then he saw you on FaceTime.
Erin: 🥺 I hate him seeing me hurt.
Jay: I know, I'll go call mouse!

Jay left the room and went to the waiting room to call mouse.

Mouse: Hey, how is she?
Jay: she's doing better, she asked could you bring Leo over.
Mouse: yea, we'll be over there shortly. I'll let Leo know.
Jay: Thank you.
Mouse: No problem!

Mouse: Hey Leo are you ready to go see your mom?
Leo: YESSS, hurry uncle mouse I want to see her!
Mouse: come on kid let's go.

Mouse and Leo left the district, and got in the car and headed to the hospital. Mouse was driving so fast, Leo had quickly put his seatbelt on. They arrived at the hospital in under 10 minutes, Leo hopped out the car and headed to the ER room. He just stood in the middle not knowing which way to go. Maggie bumped into him and asked was he lost.

Leo: No, I'm looking for my mom!
Maggie: Okay, What's her name sweetheart?
Leo: Erin Lindsay!
Will: Hey Leo!
Leo: Uncle will, where's mom at?
Will: I'll bring you up too, come on bud.
Leo: Thanks uncle Will.
Will: No problem, your dad is up their too.
Leo: Okay, but I gotta make sure mom is okay first.
Will: Okay, Hey Erin here is your son. He's very worried about you.
Erin: Hey munchkin.
Leo: Mommy🥺😭!
Erin: Hey, I'm okay, just really sore. Everyone helped bring me back to you. Aunty Kim, saved my life too.
Leo: 😳 She did!
Erin: Yea, she's over there.
Leo: Aunty Kim!
Kim: Hey bud!
Leo: Thank you!
Kim: For what bud?
Leo: For saving my mommy's life.
Kim: She would've done the same thing for me. We're family bud!
Leo: I know❤️!

The team continued to hang out with both Erin and Kim, before the team started to disperse. Now only Adam, jay, Leo and Nadia was left. After a couple of hours Adam also left, and Nadia offered to take Leo back home. Leo really didn't want to leave his moms side, but he agreed. Kim rolled over and went to sleep, so now it was just Erin and jay awake. She tapped on the side of her signaling jay to to come lay in bed with her.

Jay: I don't want to hurt you, and plus the chair is comfy.
Erin: really.... jay you won't hurt me and I can't sleep properly without you next to me. So, get your handsome butt over here please.
Jay: 😂 What would you do without me.
Erin: I never want to find out again.
Jay: I'm not going anywhere!
Erin: neither am I.
Jay: Thank you for coming back!
Erin: I will always come back for you and especially Leo. Will did tell me you almost donated your kidney. I heard we were a perfect match.
Jay: Somehow God knew we were meant for each other. We are literally a perfect match in health, and in the universe.
Erin: Thank you for not losing hope, and finding me.
Jay: I couldn't lose you twice, that would've broken me.
Erin: I know it would've, but now we have Leo to think about, he needs both of us. Did Will say how long we would be in here?
Jay: Kim will be here maybe 4-5 days, but since you had a really major surgery. So your looking at a minimum of a week, depends on your healing.
Erin: ugh.. You know...
Jay: How much you hate hospitals, Yea I remember. When you get out of here I will be your personal nurse.
Erin: Thank you, I really appreciate it, and I know I haven't said this in about 2 months, but I really love you. ❤️
Jay: I really love you too. Now let's get you some rest.
Erin: I know might be a lot to ask but do you mind sleeping without a shirt tonight.
Jay: 😂 anything for you.

Jay quickly pulled his shirt off and laid back down. Erin flipped Over and stretched her arm across his chest and her right leg in between his. Jay kissed her forehead before telling her goodnight. It didn't take long for the warmth of Jay's body to consume Erin, within 5 minutes she was sleep.

5 days later.....

Kim was being released from the hospital today, she still had to be on desk duty for another week. While Erin is out Antonio stepped up to be the leader, jay would've done the job, but his head is not focus. His attention is focused on Leo and Erin's recovery. He's been at the hospital every day, in the morning he would return home to get Leo ready for school then head to work. Nadia or Jay would usually alternate when they would pick him up. Jay brings Leo to the hospital see every night, they help him with his homework and then they watch a movie. The next few days went by pretty quickly, and her recovery was coming along really good.

Will: Hey, How's my favorite patient doing?
Erin: she's ready to get the hell out of here!
Will: We'll then I guess it's a good thing I'm here to see if your ready to leave.
Erin: are you serious I might be able to leave today?
Will: Yea, as long as you pass this final check up you can be home by noon. Make sure you have someone to drive you home.
Erin: Thank you! I will.

Erin quickly shot jay a text asking if he would pick her up, and with a quick reply he told her he would there. Will walked back into the room,  he started doing her final exam. He had her taking deep breaths, then checked all of her vitals again, then he drew a final round of blood, and finally he check the incision to make sure it was healing up properly. He sent the blood off with a nurse, he told her to tell the lab to put a rush on it.

Will: Okay your almost done, we're waiting for the final round of blood. Once I get the all clear, I will get you papers ready.
Erin: Thank you! Thank you for everything you've done.
Will: your welcome, but I get the feeling we're not talking about the hospital.
Erin: no, we're not, I know these last 8 years hasn't been easy for jay. Losing me, then Al, and then Hank I know it couldn't have  been easy to watch. I knew when I returned with Leo it wasn't going to be easy, but I have to say thank you for having Jay's back and for embracing your nephew. Believe it or not he was excited to meet you, he knew who you were that night we came to the ER.
Will: I'll admit when you first came back, I wanted to kick your ass. You had left jay so broken, I hadn't never seen him like that, these pst 8 years he just lost that spark. I should also Thank you too, because when you came back so did Jay. I love to see my brother happy, and you and Leo bring him that joy. Somehow i always knew you two would find your way back together. Leo is an amazing kid, you did a  great raising him. So Thank you, now let me check your lab work, and I'll be back to discharge you.
Erin: okay!

Will left and came back about 30 minutes later with her discharge papers. After she signed them, she quickly packed up her things and waited for jay. After about 10 minutes jay had arrived at the hospital.

Jay: Hey hot stuff you ready?
Erin: ☺️ you think I'm Hot!
Jay: ☺️ I.. I... I was saying...
Erin: 😂 I'm kidding, and yes I'm ready to go!
Jay: Come on you goof ball, I have to drop you off and then head back to work. Starting tomorrow I have a few days off.
Erin: Well I'll be off for the next week at least, we can possibly hang out if your girlfriend is okay with that.
Jay: What girlfriend, only person I'm tryna make my girlfriend is you❤️.
Erin: If you keep saying things like that, I might have to call you my boyfriend, but for now imma call you my baby daddy😂😂😂😂
Jay: Seriously Er..... your very petty.
Erin: you love my pettiness, and trust me when I say I wouldn't want anyone else to be the father of my kids. Only you will ever hold that term with me, now help me inside the house baby daddy.
Jay: You are so lucky that I love you❤️.......
