Natalie: Baby Halstead is now being measured at 18 weeks, would you like to know the gender?
Erin:+Jay: No, we want you to write it down. We're doing a gender reveal so neither of us can know.
Natalie: Ahh that's so cute, how are you going to do it?
Erin: I won't be telling any secrets but I will say Leo is a big part of this reveal.
Jay: Yes, and I'm quite excited for it.
Natalie: I'm really happy for you both, and I'm happy we get to watch this beautiful family grow.
Erin: Thank you Nat, we really appreciate you!
Natalie: who should I give the gender to?
Jay: I will take it, cause Erin is going back home to get off her feet. Plus she will look at the gender!
Erin: I would not.......
Jay: so your honestly telling me you wouldn't take a peak just see our little nugget.
Erin: Okay, maybe I would! I just really wanna know what we're having. Either a little me or another you.
Jay: I told you as long as our kids are healthy I will be happy, but I just have feeling we're definitely getting a mini you! I will love her just as much as I love you and treat her like the princess she will be.
Erin: I swear I am the luckiest woman alive, I'm so glad I get to have you by my side.
Natalie: You are definitely the luckiest!
Jay: Honestly I'm the lucky one, I got a second chance with the woman of my dreams, I have an amazing son, and I have a Halstead baby on the way.
Natalie: Okay you too get out of here before you make me cry with all your cuteness. Here's your gender, and the party is still on Saturday right?
Erin: Yea, me Kim and Nadia need to go get the last few decorations and we will be set.
Natalie: Let me know if you need anything.
Erin: Actually, do you wanna go with us and make it a full on girls day?
Natalie: I would love too, when are you going?
Erin: Tomorrow is our off day, are you free?
Natalie: um.. I believe I am!
Erin: Great, I will see you tomorrow!
Jay: Thanks again Nat!
Natalie: No problem, see you tomorrow!

Jay and Erin both left the doctors office super excited, in Jay's right jacket pocket held the result of baby Halstead's gender. Jay dropped Erin off at home, and relieved Nadia and mouse of their baby sitting duties. Fortunately for Erin Leo was definitely up for some cuddling with his mom. Even though Leo was set to turn 8 this summer he loved being wrapped into Erin's arms.

Leo: Mama!
Erin: Yes munchkin.
Leo: How was the doctors appointment?
Erin: It went really great, baby Halstead is 18 weeks old.
Leo: Is it a girl or a boy?
Erin: We won't don't know yet, we will have a party on Saturday to see.
Leo: That will be so cool.
Erin: What do you want a brother or a sister?
Leo: At first I wanted a brother, but now I think I want a sister more.
Erin: How come?
Leo: I want to protect her just like how you and daddy protect me. I always have you to cheer me on so I want a little sister I can cheer her on too!
Erin: I promise Leo, no matter what you will be the best big brother ever. I love you so much.
Leo: I love you too mommy, and you too baby sister or brother! I'm going to grab a bottle of water do you need anything from the kitchen?
Erin: Just a water.
Leo: Are you sure, I can make to a pb&fluff sandwich. Daddy said you have to eat so the baby can grow and be strong.
Erin: I would love one, how about I give you a hand?
Leo: Nope, you gotta stay off your feet too. So I will make it and bring it to you. You always take great care of me, so I can help take care of you.
Erin: I love you so much, you are just like your daddy. You both take such great care of me!
Leo: That's because me and daddy love you so much. Here's your sandwich and water, do you have enough blanket?
Erin: Everything is perfect, now I just need you come back and cuddle. You got your daddy's super power, you both have the ability to keep me warm.
Jay: Honeyyyy, I'm home!
Erin: in here babe, how long have you been waiting to say that?
Jay: A while, hey buddy!
Leo: Hey daddy!
Jay: have you been taking good care of mom?
Leo: Yup, I made mommy some food and gave her cuddles.
Jay: That's my boy!
Erin: Did you do it?
Jay: yea, he said it will be ready on Friday. I'm getting anxious, I really want to know.
Erin: I do too, Leo wants a little sister.
Jay: awww, I want a little girl too. Can I join this cuddle session?
Leo: Yea, you can lay next to me!

Jay moved to lay next to Leo and Leo laid his head on Erin's belly while she stroked his hair. The spent the rest of the day in a cuddle bubble no one wanting to move.

The week went by pretty quickly Leo had baseball practice everyday at 5:45 fortunately intelligence had been low on work this week. So both Erin and Jay were able to attend practice, Saturday was the baby shower but it was also a major weekend for Leo too. His team would be playing for a spot in the playoffs. If they win they're in, and this would be a first for his team. This weekend was a big weekend for the Halstead family!
