Chapter 52

After a delicious breakfast that was made by Leo and Owen everyone headed back to their rooms to get dressed for the day. The boys were heading out to the slopes while the ladies were headed in town to do some last minute shopping.

"Dad do you think I have enough layers on?"

"Yea, you don't want to wear to much you will over heat and feel sick."

"Okay, so maybe I should take 2 pair of my sweatpants off. I have like 5 on right now!"

"Yea bud, go take 3 pair off. You still have to put on the snow pants."

"Okay, let me go tell Owen."

"Hey babe, are you sure you don't want to hit the slopes with us?"

"No, not this time. Me and the girls are gonna hangout and do a little shopping. I might even get you a little present."

"When you say present, do you mean it's for both of us or just me?"

"Both of us but you will definitely enjoy it."

"Take my card, if it's gonna benefit me you gotta do it right. You can also splurge on yourself too, you definitely deserve it."

"Thank you babe! Please be safe out there and keep your eyes on Leo."

"I will, I think we're going to start on the baby slopes so the boys can get adjusted."

"That's a good idea, okay we're about to leave so I'll see you later on."

"Love you, have fun!"

"Love you too!"

Erin headed out of the bedroom with a coat and some mittens for Chloe. Adam was currently holding her, she was laughing at Adam making funny faces. He had grown to become one of her favorite people, he finally learned how to comfort her the right way. Chloe saw her mom walking towards so she started giving a big toothless grin.

"What are you smiling at princess, is uncle Adam making you happy?"

Chloe just continued to smile. She asked Adam to hold her up so she could put Chloe's jacket on her. After she finished putting Chloe's jacket on Erin and the rest of the ladies headed out.

The guys finished getting dressed and then headed out to the slopes. The boys were so excited, Owen had never been to the slopes and this was also Leo's first time skiing with his dad.

The ladies headed to the first store to get some more decorations, before heading to Victoria Secret. Erin wanted to get a little something extra for their wedding night. After they finished in Victoria Secret they head out to lunch.

Back with the guys, they headed to the kiddies slopes to get a little practice. To their surprise it didn't take Leo and Owen very long to hit their first slopes. They did a few more before heading over to the bigger slopes. The boys were having an amazing time. After hitting the little slopes a couple more times the fellas took a break to refuel before hitting the slopes .

"So Jay, how's life with 2 kids?"

"Honestly amazing so far, Leo Is an amazing kid. He's everything I wanted my son to be, and he does all of his work without me and Erin having to tell him something. Chloe's is just a ball of sunshine, so life is good right now. My question to you is, when are you and Natalie going to tie the knot?"

"Ever since you and Erin got engaged, I've been thinking a lot about popping the question. I thought about popping the question when you and Erin get married if it's okay with you both."

"That's amazing I'm proud of you. Let me see the ring? So, how would you propose?"

"I brought it a few weeks ago. I was thinking when Erin throws the bouquet, she could hand it to Natalie. Then she would turn around and see me down on one knee."

"First, this is a beautiful ring Nat is going to love it. I think the idea is amazing, I'll talk to Er but I think she'll be okay with it. She just want you both to be happy."

"I really appreciate this Jay! Are you guys ready to hit the slopes?"

"Let's go!"

The guys pack up and head back out. The guys are heading up to the big slopes now. Kevin is sitting on the ski lift praying to god that he doesn't fall.

"Y'all I don't see no black people, see I'm not suppose to be here?"

"Haha calm down Kev, you're going to have a great time."

"Uncle Kevin, it's going to be really fun. Ladies love a guy who can ski!"

"He's definitely a Halstead!"

"Alright guys let's shred some slopes!"

The guys hop off the ski lift and make their way to the starting line. The boys were having an amazing time while the girls were having an amazing time shopping.

A few hours later the girls finally headed back to the cabin, they put the decorations in the closet so no one could see them. The ladies started cooking dinner when the guys started walking in.

"Hey my handsome boys, did you guys have fun?"

"Hey babe! We had an amazing time. Leo and Owen jumped off the half pipe."

"Wow, you guys are amazing! Babe we restocked the beer, get you one and go relax. There's probably a game on right now."

That night the family enjoy their time with each other. After putting the kids to bed Jay and Erin went sat outside near the fire pit.

"How was your girls day?"

"We had a great time. I want to talk to you about something."

"What's up?"

"How would you feel about us getting married up here?"

"That would've been amazing, but all of our clothes for the wedding are back at the house. We don't have a priest, or anything we would need."

"What if I told you your suit is here along with my wedding dress."

"I would think you were a magician."

"We'll call me a magician, everything we need is already here. The ladies helped me out by getting everything together."

"When are we getting married?"

"Two days from now."

"Christmas day?"

"Yup, I think it will be romantic."

"I like that, so I have a suggestion or more of a request?"

"I'm listening."

"Will wants to propose to Nat, after we get married."

"OMGGG, when I toss the bouquets I could like hand it to her, then he could propose."

"That was his plan, so are you okay with that?"

"Yea, they're going to be celebrating us, so we can do this for them."

"So, in 48 hours we will officially be the Halsteads!"

"I can't wait!!"

"I remember earlier we were discussing my presents, do I get it tonight or do I have to wait till Christmas?"

"I think I will save that gift, but tonight I can offer you a treat...."
