Today was the day.. it was the all valley under-18 karate championship. My morning started off with a apple and a jog with Miguel. Once we returned we both showered and he came over while I finished getting ready.

I threw on a pair of mom jeans and a nirvana shirt. Miguel had a red hoodie and black sweatpants on. Johnny walked out in jeans and a graphic t-shirt.

"You guys ready?" He asked. I quickly filled up my water bottle and then we all walked out to my car.

Johnny drove and me and Miguel sat in the back, after a couple minutes hawk arrived and got in sitting in the passenger seat.

Carmen and Miguel's yaya was gonna meet us there, unfortunately Eli's mom and dad couldn't make it.

Aisha was coming to cheer me and Sam and the old cobras on. I looked out the window thinking about everything robby said, and what I said to him.

We all stood around waiting for the doors to open, surprisingly we didn't have to wait for Johnny like last year.

The doors opened and it was time to register. I looked over and saw terry and Kreese and there students circled around.

Me and Miguel looked at Tory and Robby and rolled our eyes before walking inside. Mason was even here, it was good to see him, we don't talk enough because of the whole rivalry. 

I walked over to the line up, Johnny signed me up as Harper Lawrence so I had to stand in the line for g-m. One row over was Robby in the second line for g-m.

"Hey Robby. I'm sorry about what I said the other day. I hope we can be on good terms?" I said, as I signed my name.

He looked at me and shook his head. "I want to.. but you won't forgive me after today. None of you will." He said upset and set down his pen and walked away.

I finished and ran after him, "what do you mean?" I asked, "the cobra Kai kids aren't coming to lose. They will do anything." Robby said and walked away.

I turned and saw Kyler, he smiled at me sympathetically. "Hey Harper." He said and I looked at him. "What are you doing here?" I asked

"Fighting" he said with a smirk and walked away. I looked around and sighed before finding Sam and walking into the girls locker room.

I looked and saw a blonde girl in a sports bra putting on a black gi. Me and Sam avoided her and changed into our white gis.

They were white and sleeveless and had the bonsai tree patch on the back and we all had black or brown belts.

We had a patch with a fist just like the old cobra Kai gis. It didn't have our real names but our nicknames that Johnny has given us, a small inside joke.

I looked at torys gi, it was black and had yellow decor. It has a snake patch on the back, while the front had a cobra Kai patch.

She saw me and quickly walked out, I sighed thankful she wasn't gonna start anything.

The teams were called out. Cobra Kai did the same basic entrance, they only had about 6-7 kids total competing, while we had, me, Miguel, Mitch, hawk, chris, Sam, Bert, Nate, and a couple other kids I didn't know that well.

"And miyagi-do karate." The announcer said. We all jogged out and the crowd cheered. Rebel yell by Billy idol started playing and strobe lights went off, there were also smoke machines.

Everything stopped and the crowd quiet down, after a couple minutes the matches began. Miguel won his first match against some cobra Kai kid.

Eli won his first match against some kid from another club, Sam had to fight Xavier who won 2 years ago. She won.
