The Unwanted Encounter (Ash Lynx x Reader)

18) Yau Si

The old lady who you assumed to be the maid of the house, told you guys that some men came barging in and tried kidnapping the Chinese man. He finally gained consciousness and you learned his name to be Yau Si who was adopted by Alexis Dawson, particularly because he was intelligent. Ash asked Yau Si about Abraham Dawson, who was apparantly his adoptive father's younger brother. The chinese man led you guys to Alexis's office which was filled with books and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages.

"What a mess, did you guys get the cops involved?" Ask asked to Yau Si.

"We called, but only a few policemen came" Explained the chinese man looking a little down.

"Something's not right" Said Ash. No shit. You looked around and noticed some torned up couches and a computer on the desk at the back of the room.

"Where do you think your dad might be?" Asked Max.

"Um, can i ask what's going on. Who are you?" Asked Yau Si pointing to you and Ash. You just shrugged him off by making an 'i don't even know myself' face as Ash walked over to the computer on the desk.

Max was about to answer Yau Si's question but Ash cut him off by asking the Chinese man if he could look in the computer which he didn't refuse to. The Chinese man warned Ash about him needing a password but he shrugged him off by showing him a decoding device which would help him hack in the computer. Everyone left as you roamed around the room while Ash decrypted the computer with his device. You sighed for the umpteenth time as you kept pacing back and forward in the room.

"Y/n, go for a walk or go eat something. Your roaming is giving me stress"

"But-"

"No buts, go out for a walk, i promise i'll let you know if i find something"

"Promise?"

"Yeah, now go" Said the blonde shooing you away.

You sighed again while putting your beanie on and tried finding your way back to the front door, tried. As you walked around the gigantic house, you lost your way and ended up playing Dora until you found the Chinese man in the kitchen preparing some sort of tea. You stared at him silently adoring his long silky hair and his feminene feautures. Damn his hair is so beautiful and his facial features are perfect.

"Huh, thank you miss" Said the Chinese man.

"Um, did i say that out loud?" You said mentally facepalming yourself. Good job y/n, good job.

"Yes, you did" Said Yau Si chuckling a little. He gestured you to sit on the kitchen table and put a tray in front of you with some tea. "Have some Jasmine tea, it's relaxing" Said the Chinese man as he grabbed a cup.

You eyed him cautiously but ended up drinking the tea. "Mhhm, it's good. But my coffee is better" You told him with a proud look.

"Is that so?" He asked.

"Hmm" You said as you finished the tea. You were prety anxious about everything so you started becoming really bubly and talkative to calm your nerves down. "You know, i had long hair like you just a few weeks ago, you should try to put it in a french braid, it'd look good" You said cupping your cheek with your hand.

The Chinese looked at you raising his eyebrow then told you to put a french braid in his hair. You took a black loomband elastic out of your pocket (just assume you always carry loombands) and gently started braiding his hair. You started braiding his haif from the side of his head and spiraled down to the end making one french braid that draped over his shoulder while you and the Chinese man talked about hair remedies and tea making small conversation. To your surprise, you ended up not hating him which was new for you. Since you didn't get along with everyone because of your cold and rude personality,  you didn't have many friends and making small conversation with strangers was something big for you.
