"Where is that woman." Shorter impatiently tapped his foot, looking left and right around the terminal.

"Patience Shorter, patience." I yawned, stuffing my hands in my hoodie. "There, I see her." I said, pointing behind a group of tourists. "She's the woman in the beige blazer."

"Ooh, I see her now." Shorter walked towards Jessica, followed by me as I walked after the Chinese.

"Yo, Jessica." Shorter lazily greeted the woman.

"You're that same punk from that day, right?" Jessica cocked her eyebrows at him, looking him up and down.

"Ehh, you don't have to call me that." Shorter awkwardly chuckled, scratching the back of his head.

"Here, let me carry your bag." I offered, holding a hand out so she could pass me her duffle bag.

"Thank you." She smiled at me, gently passing me her bag. "Y/n, was it?"

"Yeah." I nodded, hanging the bag over my shoulder.

"Ehh, why does she get to be called her name but I'm remembered as a punk?" Shorter complained, putting his hands on his hips.

"Maybe because you look like one." I said, turning around towards the exit. "Let's go."

"Listen to the girl." Jessica remarked, trailing after me as I could hear her heels making contact with the flooring, followed by Shorter's slightly louder footsteps.

"Your hair is going to turn gray if you don't relax, old lady." Ash commented when seeing an impatient Jessica eager to talk to Max waltz in Cain's hideout.

"I never wanted to see you again." Jessica rolled her eyes, pinpointing Max who sat in the corner of the room inhaling a cig.

"I knew you'd come, stubborn woman." Max muttered, shaking his head.

"Of course. Did you think I'd calmly let somebody guard me out of the blue?" Jessica asked, putting her hands on her hips.

"What about Michael? Did you just leave him?!"

"He's with my sister. It's safer than coming here!"

"I told you it was dangerous!"

"Yeah but you told me that-"

"Geez, shut up." I covered my ears with my hands, trying to block their fight out.

"I'm never getting married." Ash said, also covering his ears.

"Me neither." I replied, looking at the two adults fighting like kids.

It was nighttime. Jessica, Max, and I sat around a little campfire we made to warm up some soup. Everyone was outside as well. Ash explained Alex what to do in different scenarios, Sing prepared his knives and his Flying Dragon Fang with Shorter, Cain cleaned up the mess the soldiers had caused in downtown the night previous.

"I can't believe it. A mind controlling drug? Jessica asked once Max explained to her why we were being targeted this time, and why he had sent someone to guard Michael and her.

"I wouldn't either if I hadn't seen it." Max said, stirring soup in the pot which hung above the fire.

"What a kid. He'd be a cutie if he didn't have that incorrigible mouth." Jessica sighed, looking at Ash who was talking to his gang members. "So the enemy is pretty rough this time, huh?"

"Yeah. A former French elite force of mercenaries. Nothing crazy but serial killers. All the leader wants to do is kill." I tsk-ed, gaining Jessica's attention. I looked up from my cup to her, seriousness etching on my face. "Wars are his thing cuz you can lawfully kill people, all he wants to do is kill. I don't get how one could want to go out and kill people as a hobby." I sighed, dropping my head in my hand out of exhaustion.
