"You.." I shook my head, not believing that girl stalked me because she was bored.
"Yes? Me what?" Asked Cièlle dumbfounded, shuffling her feet.
"You don't have anything better to do than stalk people?" I asked, leaning against the doorframe as Cièlle still stood outside.
"Girl.. You have no clue how bored I was."
"Then you should annoy your family or something." I said, assuming she came from an ok-family-situation judging from the fancy clothes she wore and her well kept appearence.
"My parents are at work all day long, and I don't have siblings. So I have nothing better to do." Cièlle said, a saddened expression taking her face over.
"What about school? Don't you have homework or something? You told me once you were a junior in highschool." I crossed my arms, raising my eyebrows.
"Pssht, school?" Cièlle waved her hands in the air. "Nahh, that shit sucks. And if I remember correctly, you didn't continue with school either because you didn't feel like it."
"Yeah well.. You're right but I did at least graduate from high school. Not going to college was my desicion because I felt like taking a break. And it isn't like I wasn't doing anything in my break. I was working in a coffee shop."
"Waittt? You worked at a coffee shop??" She asked, her mood enlightening.
"Yes."
"Which one? Starbucks?" Cièlle asked, sipping from her drink.
"No, Mugesto."
"Do you still work there?"
"No."
"Why?"
"Because of As-" I said, stopping mid sentence when I realised I was about to overshare too much.
"Huh? Because of what?"
"None of your business." I said, sighing.
"Still so closeted huh? Are you even going to let me in or-"
"Who's she?" Asked Ash, suddenly making his way behind Cièlle without I even realised he was near us. Cièlle cocked her eyebrow at me, turning around upon hearing Ash's voice.
"I'm Cièlle. You are..?" She asked, facing Ash as he stared at her up and down, analysing her like he did with any other stranger. Ash didn't reply, staring intensely at Cièlle.
I massaged my nosebridge, annoyed that Ash had to meet Cièlle like that. Part of my annoyance came from fear that Cièlle meeting Ash would somehow endanger him or me. Hypothetically thinking, Golzine would blackmail me against Ash—but in a different scenario, he would blackmail me by using Cièlle if he were to find her since she was just an innocent civilian who kept wanting to meet up with me. If only she knew with what I'm involved..
Another part of me was annoyed because Cièlle would be disturbing Ash too. I knew Ash wasn't too keen on trusting strangers and he would quickly get annoyed by Cièlle's overjoyed persona as well.
I cleared my throat, grabbing both of their attention. "She umm.. I met her in jail." I said, breaking the silence. Ash looked at me a bit confused by the little info I gave him, but nodded nonetheless.
"What a great way to introduce me to your boyfriend, y/n." Cièlle said, turning around as she wiggled her eyebrows at me.
"What?! No! He-"
"He's your boyfriend, rightt?? Ohh, is he that Aslan you thought you were speaking to when you picked my call?" Cièlle asked, putting her index finger on her chin.
