33) Shorter's intuitions

"Yo Y/n."

"Hey, Shorter."

"How you been?"

"I'm okay. Listen, do you have time to meet up today?"

"I do. What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just need to.. talk?"

"Alright princess. Is 2 pm good for you? I'll send you the address."

"Don't call me that and sure. See you in a few, ya?"

"See ya." I heard Shorter say on the phone before he hung up. I glanced at the time and it was 12:39 am. I still got about an hour. I sighed and rolled over to my side on the king sized bed, snuggling deeper in the warm duvet. I went on youtube and put on 'Take Me To Church' by Hozier as I listened to the melancholy song which sent me in to my thoughts.

I rested in bed, for a few minutes listening to 'Take Me To Church' on loop as I heard Eiji and Ash talking in the kitchen about Ash being too picky. A weak smile crept on my face hearing their conversation but it quickly faltered when I heard my name come up in their convo.

"Is y/n still sleeping?" Asked Eiji.

"Beats me." Said Ash.

"It's almost 1 pm, I should check up on her." Said Eiji, before I heard a chair sliding against the floor. I turned the volume down to zero and covered myself in the duvet, hiding my face with my hair.

"Y/n, I'm coming in." Said the Japanese before opening the door to my room.

"I know you're awake." Said Eiji, sitting on my leg which surprised me.

"OWW." I screamed silently before I shot up in my bed. "What was that for?" I asked, rubbing my leg a little too dramatically.

"For being lazy, now get up and go eat breakfast." Said Eiji, scolding me.

"Hmmph." I said, lazily getting up as I made my way to the kitchen.

"Morning." I said to Ash who sat at the kitchen table eating Natto.

"Morning." Replied Ash dryly as he made a weird face eating the Natto.

"What's for the menu today?" I asked, sliding the chair so I could sit on it.

"Natto!" Explained Eiji energetically, sitting next to me.

"Mhhm." I said, stuffing my mouth with rice and some natto. "It's good."

"See! Ash here is so picky." Said Eiji, rolling his eyes as he also took a bite.

"Why aren't I surprised." I said, shaking my head as I stuffed my mouth. "Oh, I'm going to meet up with Shorter in a few" I said.

"No."

"Huh?"

"It's too dangerous."

"I know that.." I said, a little annoyed. "But I need to talk to him." I said dropping the food on my plate.

"No, you're still not going. And talk to him about what?" Asked the blonde.

"About stuff."

"What stuff?"

"Ash.. Why are being so.."

"So what?"

"So.."

"CALM DOWN." Said Eiji, slamming the table a little which startled the blonde and I. Ash huffed and left the kitchen as Eiji and I still sat on the table.
