The Unwanted Encounter (Ash Lynx x Reader)

13) Max

You were hiding on top of the roof near Club Cod to keep eyes on Golzine. After a good few minutes you saw that bastard walking towards the entry of Club Cod so you gave a green signal to Shorter to execute the plan. You saw Shorter driving the truck like a maniac towards Club Cod and Ash on top of it. You took out Golzine's guards so Ash wouldn't be targeted by the guards but unfortunately Arthur and his minions were guarding Golzine as well, so they were able to hit Ash in his shoulder from a blindspot. You cursed yourself and looked at the direction the gunshot came from and saw Arthur and his minions shooting the truck down. You tried taking Arthur out with your gun but the angle you were at wasn't ideal so you weren't much of help. So much happened in little time and you saw Ash fall over from the truck after it crashed into some warehouse containers. And then you saw Ibe and some other person run towards Ash, Eiji and Shorter and they ended up jumping in the river?

"Well this definitely wasn't part of the plan" You mumbled to yourself. You realised that Arthur spotted you and he was about to chase you but you quickly blended in with the public and dissapeared in the shadows. I saw Ibe run towards them so they're probably fine. You thought to yourself. Shortly after you got a phone call from Shorter telling you they're at a hideout and that you should come to help with Ash's gunshot wound. He also asked for fresh pairs of clothes, towels, a first aid kit and other stuff.
"And i definitely didn't sign up to run arrends" You said to yourself packing the things up Shorter asked for, in your bag.  You were a little annoyed Ash wasn't able to take Golzine out, the maximum damage he could do was shoot Golzine in his arm but thanks to Arthur he got shot himself. You made your way to the hideout behind the inlets at the warehouses. The first thing you saw was Ash knocked out with a sloppy cloth tied around his shoulder.

"Well whoever attempted to stop Ash's bleeding is a moron, and i can tell you all stink, like a lot" You said taking your First Aid Kit out and immediatly tending to Ash's wound.

"Well sorry miss but we were in a hurry" You rolled your eyes but then realised you remember that voice from somewhere.

"Yeah su- MAX?" You said semi screaming. The man turned his head around and looked at you with wide eyes.

"Y/N?" He turned towards you. You both had an intense staring contest in shock looking at each other.

Shorter came in between you both, complaining about his wound still not being completely stitched and also questioned how both of you knew each other.

"Young lady you got a lot of explaining to do. What are you even doing here?" Asked Max, smacking Shorter's head.

"Not now, i'm busy" You said turning towards Ash and taking care of his gunshot wound. You smiled in the inside, relieved you got reunited with Max.

"You've grown up so much kid. Last time i saw you, you were just like a baby" Max said still in disbelief looking at you.

"You're just growing old, old man" Ash said waking up while you stitched his wound up.

"Hey hey don't move, can't you see i'm trying to stitch this up you idiot" You said shooting daggers trough your eyes towards Ash.

"Well sorry mom" Ash said laying back down on the couch.

"Wait holdup, how do you know Max" You asked really confused.

"We met in jail, he was my roommate i guess?" Ash said glaring at you from the side of his eyes while still laying down on the couch, well more pinned by you on the couch.

You chuckled and looked over at Max. "Still got the same anger issues huh, didn't i predict you would somehow end up in jail cuz of your anger issues"
