The Unwanted Encounter (Ash Lynx x Reader)

12) A Genuine Smile

"Who's place is this" Asked Ash as he walked in your second apartment. You could call it more of a hideout since it was located in a pretty well hidden place where not a lot of people are seen.

"It's mine, in case i need to hide or something" You said opening the front door of the small apartment. You walked in and slumped on the couch as you complained how tired you were.

You, Shorter, Ash and Eiji decided that Ash would meet up with the Lee clan, family members of the Lee family who apparently wanted to help Ash out. You were skeptical at first but you needed reinforcements so you agreed on that.
According to Ash, every 15th of the month, Golzine is seen at Club Cod, a seafood restaurant where they sell runaway kids which is ran by Golzine. So it was the perfect opportunity to execute the plan. The plan was that you would stay close to Club Cod to look out if there was something fishy going on. Shorter and Eiji were going to drive a truck towards Club Cod while Ash was going to be on top of it. The plan was to shoot Golzine from on top of the truck and quickly escape without being seen, your job was to take people down who would try to take Ash out. A simple yet risky plan but it was the best option at the moment. You already knew it had a bunch of flaws in it but you went with it since your bloodlust kept growing and you needed to do something in order for you not to lose your shit.

Ash and Shorter went out to go meet up with the Lee family while you and Eiji stayed at your place. You were really tired so you decided to take a shower while Eiji was going trough some of your manga's you left at the hideout. You stripped out of your clothes and stared at your arm, looking at the place you got stabbed at. Well this will leave a mark, you said to yourself staring at the aftermath of the stab wound. You waited for the water to heat up and slipped in, showering your worries and thoughts away. You would stay there all day long but unfortunately you couldn't. After we take out the bastard Golzine, i'm going to distance myself from everyone. I've gotten way too close to them and it's dangerous. You thought to yourself. You dried yourself off and wore your black slip top paired with a red flannel shirt and trousers. As you were drying your hair you were thinking about the first time you met Ash about 2/3 months ago and a little smile crept on your face.

Flashback:

"Wtf, are you running in a marathon or something" you said. You looked at his shining green eyes and his gold locks falling over his face.

"Thank you" he said softly looking at the breathless state you're in while grabbing his glasses from your hand.

"It's fine"

End of flashback.

After you finished showering you quickly made some coffee for you and Eiji. The coffeemaker you had at your hideout wasn't as advanced as the Espresso machine you left at Ash's hideout, but it still did the job so you weren't complaining. Obviously Eiji also fell for your coffee the moment he took a sip from it and you questioned yourself how they still didn't know the art of coffee while chuckling.

"Eiji i'm going to the balcony for some fresh air alright?" You said as he nodded and went back to reading the manga he found.
You made your way to the balcony and sat down on the concrete floor of the balcony using the window as support for your back while sipping the coffee you made. You stared at the sunset as the purple and orange hue of the sky mixed up and you drifted off to sleep. At this point you were pretty much immune to coffee so you could sleep pretty easily even while drinking it.

After a few hours you woke up to someone draping a blanket over you. You rubbed your eyes and saw the blonde crouching down in front of you.
