"Mary Margret", I half state, half question, unsure what to make of the situation as I lower my sword to my side, still keeping a grip on it.
Just by looking at her expression, I can tell she is questioning her next move as she tries to keep eye contact with me. Only David stands in the camp with her but I still hear rustling behind them like there are more people to come.
I feel the urge to jump into her arms and never let go but I don't. I stay still, remembering the words she used in the caves that repeat in my mind constantly. She made it clear that I'm not her daughter and I will no longer pretend I am.
Several seconds have past but I can still sense the hesitation from her. After everything that has happened, I don't blame her. There is some much confusion right now. I decide to speak up.
"If you're here, then h-how did you find the camp?", I question.
More rustling noise comes from bushes behind Mary Margret and David, signalling more people entering through the camp border.
I first spot the dark hair and blue guilty eyes of the traitorous pirate. A sick feeling enters my stomach as I lay eyes on him and I know I will never be able to forget what's he's done.
"You back stabbing betrayer", I accuse, ready to confront him.
His expression says it all. He must of known Pan would spill the beans. That's why he was paranoid about me coming here.
I ignore the hurt I'm feeling and draw my attention towards the figure next to him. My eyes trail over the green attire of the person and my mouth falls agape with shock.
"Tinkerbell?", I question.
In all honesty, I never thought I'd see her again. Especially not here. Why was she in Neverland? We escaped this place together, what could possible be the reason she is back. From a quick judgment of the situation I realise she has helped the group and found a way to the camp.
"Alice", she smiles.
When my body gets over the initial surprise and confusion of seeing her, I don't hesitate for a second to run up to her and throw my arms around her her body. A sense of relief floods me as her presence gives me a nostalgic kind of comfort that I haven't felt in a while.
She pulls me into her arms and embraces the hug. I can tell she feels the same way as I do. I don't want to, but I eventually I let go as I feel the need to ask a million questions at once.
"W-What the hell are you doing here?", I ask, my manic state causing me to jumble my words slightly.
"Well I came back for you", she answers.
"You did?", I question in disbelief.
"Of course I did! After I found out about you I left Hook. I couldn't bare the thought of you being trapped here again. But when I arrived, you weren't here. I thought I was too late. Then I became a prisoner of the island once again. Pan told me he got rid of you, I thought you were dead this whole time", she explains.
She's been here for the whole time I've been in Storybrooke? All because she wanted to save me? What she didn't know is that I no longer needed saving since me and Pan knew our true identities. Which means she came all this way for nothing.
"You didn't have to come back for me", I say honestly, feeling at fault.
"Yes I did. You saved me", she insists.
Her words warm my heart to know she cared enough to do that, unlike Hook. My eyes glance over to him in pure rage as I realise the truth. I was not the only one mistreated.
