On the walk back to camp, Pan mainly talks to Amy. She seems keen to talk to him and has no reason to be sceptical of him. As for Jack, he didn't seem so keen on Pan but rather confused and suspicious.
Meanwhile, I walked behind them. I was too busy thinking about my conversation with Hook and coming up with a plan to really notice what they were talking about.
However I did hear some bits and I'm pretty sure they were about me, and definitely not in a positive way. I saw them look back at me a few times, it was clear that Pan was speaking about me.
Shortly we arrived at camp, I instantly looked out for Mason. I need to avoid him at all costs. Before I go off, Pan grabs my arm.
"I'm going to show our new guests around camp, don't do anything stupid", he warned. And with that he took Jack and Amy around the camp.
As soon as he goes off, I begin to try and find the others, I hope they are not with Mason. As I am looking around, I am grabbed by the arm and pulled away from the main camp, behind a tree.
Shit. Mason.
I reluctantly turn around to come face to face with the person holding me. And to my surprise it's not Mason, it is Jacob. What?
"I need to talk to you", he insists.
"Seriously? We haven't talked in months and that what you've got to say ", I say in annoyance.
"Listen, it's important", he sighs. I keep silent for a second, waiting for him to speak again.
"You need to start following Pans rules. That means not running away or disobeying him-", He continues.
"Excuse me?", I scoff, interrupting him.
"I mean it. If you don't your going to get yourself killed", he whispers, aggressively.
"Did Pan put you up to this or something?", I ask in confusion.
"No, I'm being serious. I care about your safety and if you carry in disobeying him you're going to get hurt", he warns. It's not like I don't already know this.
"And why would you care?", I questioned.
"Alice we've known eachother our whole lives of course I care and just because we had that argument doesn't mean that I ever stopped caring", he insists.
This is so strange he has not shown any sign of caring for me, considering he has not talked to me once till now. All he has done during these months is given me blank stares.
"Really? Because if you actually cared you would have been there for me when I was in danger. You know when Pan has tried to kill me. Where were you when I was shot with an arrow? Where were you when I jumped off a cliff? Where were you when-", I pause. He looks at me with guilt.
"Oh that's right, you weren't there. So how I am supposed to believe you actually care about me at all. You left me when I needed you the most. You chose Pan", I continued.
You could hear the pain in my voice as I spoke. There was silence for a few seconds before Jacob spoke again but I was not willing to listen to his excuses.
"I-", he began to spoke.
"I don't want to hear it. Just leave me alone", I shout, starting to walk away from him.
"Ali please listen-", he begs, using the nickname he used to call me but ever since that argument and Pan beginning to use it, I don't feel like hearing it anymore.
"You don't get to call me that anymore", I say, leaving him and returning back to the main camp. As soon as I do, I spot Fry, Minho and Hunter almost immediately. I notice that Mason is not with them.
