I am in complete shock of his appearance, I thought he was dead. It is clear that he is a lost boy now. I am definitely missing out on a lot that's happened since I left. I've certainly had enough of 'surprises', as Felix told me, for one day.
"I think I'll leave you guys to catch up", Mason says, regaining his smirk, standing up and walking away from the clearing. It is very clear he knows about our past.
"I need to gather some poppy dust for her anyway, we wouldn't want to kill her by knocking her out too much", Mason jokes.
Eric smirks at me and takes a seat against the tree that Mason was sitting against. Great everyone from my past has joined a little club together.
"I don't understand. I thought you were dead", I say in shock.
"Surprise", he says with a grin and sarcasm filling his voice.
"But they killed Jacob, why are you with them?", I yell.
"You know, it really hurt when you and Jacob left me behind at that orphanage to come to Neverland. I thought you guys were my friends but you abandoned me", he explains.
"That's what this is about? I never chose to come here you know. I spent every single day trying to get off this island to see you again", I disagree.
"Really? Because I heard you got off the island and I know that you're destination was not to see me", he says.
"That's because you were already here and-", I begin to explain.
"I don't want to listen to your excuses, as you can see I've moved on anyway, enjoying a life in Neverland without either of you", he tries to convince me.
"You don't understand, they tried to kill you too", I try to explain.
"What are you talking about?", he asks confused.
"You arrived in Neverland just before I left and Mason threatened to kill you, just to harm me", I responded.
"If that's true, why didn't you take me and Jacob with you", he questions me.
"It's complicated. I wanted to but I couldn't", I say. I was going to continue but he started speaking again.
"Do you want to know what I think? I think you saved your own skin and left us behind", he says with anger.
"You really think that? We've known each other for forever and you really think I'd do that to you? Well you're wrong, I would've done anything to save you, I promise", I admitted.
"I don't believe you. I just think you're a selfish lying bitch", he declares.
"Really? And you think Pan and the lost boys aren't?", I scoffed.
"They're the only ones who've ever been truthful with me", he explains.
"They also killed your friend, do you not even care?", I asked with disappointment.
"I killed Jacob, not them. Alex was lying to get a reaction out of you", he blurts out.
"W-What?", I stuttered.
It all made sense now. When I left it became the perfect time to manipulate Eric into thinking I abandoned him to get him on his side.
"Why? Why did you do that?", I said with tears clouding my eyes.
"It was Pan's price to become a lost boy", he says bluntly.
"You're a monster. He was your friend and you betrayed him, for this? Was it really worth killing for?", I ask.
