Chapter 54 - Lost Girl At Heart

We continue to walk through the woods of Neverland with no one saying a word to each other as we try to focus on the mission at hand.

I keep hearing noises from the left and right of me but I ignore them. It could be my imagination but if Pan has bad intentions for me, I'm not even going to let him get close.

"I didn't think you could ever do anything that stupid", a voice whisper shouts from behind me.

"It's like you're asking to get yourself killed", Hook continues as he begins to walk beside me, cutting the foliage in our way.

"Trust me, I know what I'm doing", I insist.

"Do you?", he asks.

Did I?

"If he was going to do anything, it wouldn't have been then. I just needed to get an idea of what is going on", I explain.

"And did you? Do you know why they took Henry?", he questions.

Truth be told, I didn't ask. Not because I didn't want to know but because I knew there was no point. There's no way Felix would tell me and a part from Pan he would be the only one who knew.

The only way I'd find out is if he wanted me to know and if it reaches that point, I can only presume things are going bad for me.

Even if I wanted to force it out of him that meant actually confronting him, but since I'm trying to avoid him at all costs, that's going to be quite difficult. I guess it was up to me. I must know the reason, I just have to think.

"No, not yet but I will find out", I promise.

"Then you'll need to be able to protect yourself", he announces.

"Here, take this", he continues, handing a sword over to me.

"What about you?", I ask.

"I always carry two, just in case", he smirks, out his own sword to so me.

"I guess I should have thought about getting a weapon before we came on the island", I say in a tone as if it was obvious.

"Thanks", I smile.

I pull the sword out of its case to look at it. Wait a second, I know this sword. I haven't seen it in years so how the hell does he have it?

"Where's this from then?", I question in a way to not sound too suspicious.

"It used to be Pans. Obviously I stole it from him but it's yours now, you keep it", he explains.

He was wrong though, it was always mine.

(Past)

It's been a long time since Peter declared that he will kill Rumpelstiltskin and I can't say he hasn't tried since he made that promise. It's felt like tears that we've been at this.

Almost everyday since I learnt I had magic has been a lesson as Peter is trying to teach me how to use and control it. I'd like to think I have control over it nowadays.
