James' P.O.V:

Before I get the chance to speak to her again, Alice disappears in a cloud of smoke and I'm left alone with a confused and angry Eric.

"What the hell just happened?", Eric shouts.

"When did she get magic?", he continues.

"She's always had it", I admit.

"That doesn't make sense, I've known her my whole life, I would know", he insists.

"Maybe you don't know her as well as you think", I snap back.

"And you do?", he asks.

"I know more about her than you do", I reply.

"What's that suppose to mean?", he argues.

"Forget it Eric", I state.

"No, I want to know what's going on around here, with her, with you, with the magic. Nothing is making sense and nobody is telling me anything. I feel like I'm completely in the dark", he explains.

"Maybe it's better that way", I comment.

"What do you mean? How is that better? She just tried to kill me!", he yells.

"You were asking for it", I respond.

"What's wrong with you man? Why are you defending her?", he says in disgust.

"Because she deserves to be defended", I tell him.

"So there is something going on between you two then", he chuckles.

"Why do you care?", I ask in annoyance.

"Because it's the only explanation for why you're acting like this. Ever since she got here, you've changed", he explains.

"Maybe because I've seen the truth about this place", I argue.

"What truth?", he questions.

"That Alice was never lying, she was never crazy and that Pan is the true manipulator", I reply.

"She's really gotten into your head", he laughs.

"No she hasn't because for the first time, I'm thinking clearly", I admit.

"I'm disappointed in you. You've turned out just like the others. Remember what I told you about the first boy who was manipulated by her and what happened to him, do you want that to happen to you?", he asks.

I remember when I arrived in Neverland, I quickly became friends with Alex and the rest of his group. They made me feel at home for the first time in a long time.

They told me about the girl they hated and how she had escaped the island but Pan was in the works of getting her back.

They told me how she manipulated all the boys here into doing what she wanted, like Jacob and Mason. I was such a fool to believe that what they were saying was true.

They also told me that she was the reason that a lost boy was killed, because she had made him fall in love with her and convinced him to help her leave the island by attacking Pan but he stopped him.

I now know that wasn't true, wasn't it? Was that boy actually Thomas? I never knew his name but I knew that he was killed by Pan. It seems events went very differently to how I was initially told.

"It happened to Jacob and Mason too, they were as easily fooled by her tricks and now look what's happened to you", he comments.

"It's because they saw the truth too, they all did and they either ended up either dead or manipulated by Pan because of it. He's the one who has gotten into all of your heads", I explain.
