Chapter 37 - Payback Time

As soon as I wake up I can feel the pain in my head only increasing since I've been unconscious twice now. Couldn't Pan just use poppy dust or magic? No, he just had to make it painful.

I can feel myself on something hard and my body is moving as it is swinging slightly. When I manage to open my eyes, I can tell that I am being carried over someone's shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Ah, I see you're awake", the person who is carrying me speaks. I guess they felt me shuffling when I woke up.

"I should have hit you harder", the boy says. I can now tell that this boy is Felix.

"Just put me down Felix", I demand.

"As you wish", he says smugly as he drops me to the ground harshly, making my head even worse. I groan loudly from the pain and give him a death stare as he looks down at me.

"Don't try to run", he hisses, pulling me up to my feet with a tight grip on my arm as we begin to walk.

"You weren't out for very long. I'm disappointed really, Pan said I could throw you in cage if you were still unconscious by the time we got back", he says sarcastically.

"I forgot how much I missed this place", I scoff.

"Keep walking", he pushes me forward.

"Do you ever get tired of doing everything Pan asks you to", I ask him sarcastically.

"Do you ever get tired of fighting against him constantly", he snaps back.

"No actually. So tell me, are my friends still alive?", I question him seriously.

He looks at me for a couple of seconds and then smirks in response. I have no indercation of what that could mean. They could be dead or maybe even worse. I know Pan tells him all his plans and that he knows everything though.

"Guess you'll have to wait and see. I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise for you", he finally says.

"Now come on", he pushes me again.

We walk for several more minutes through the woods until we hit the camp. He finally lets me go and realises me into the camp.

"Don't do anything stupid", he warns me before he walks away but still keeps keeps an eye on me.

"Alice?", someone speaks. I turn around to see Frypan speaking with Minho and Hunter by his side as they all have shocked and confused expressions on their faces.

"Frypan?", I say, running up to hug him and the rest of the guys as we all greet each other.

"I missed you guys", I smiled. They were about the only thing I missed about being on this island.

"I can't believe you got off the island and didn't even say goodbye", Frypan says, half joking as I chuckle slightly in response.

"I need to ask you something important. My friends; Jacob, Eric, Bae", I list them off.

"What happened to them when I left", I continued with concern.

"I don't know how but Baelfire managed to find a way off of the island", he admitted. This gave me a massive sense of relief after the guilt of leaving him behind. I wonder how he did it?

"What about the others?", I ask with worry.

He gives me a nervous and saddened look as he sighs before speaking. "Alice, I don't know how to tell you this but-"

"Look who's back", a familiar voice calls from behind me.

I turn around to see Alex speaking as Mason and the rest of his group stands behind him, all smirking at me. No surprise that they're still all friends with eachother.
