Part 10

Next morning

It was early morning and Khushi was at a nearby temple in a simple white churidar folding her hands praying to her Devi Maiya to give her courage and to increase her wisdom so that she can decide what right and what's wrong..  There were few people in the temple as it was early morning.. Once done she turned back to leave when she saw Maya standing behind her.. khushi was surprised seeing her there. Khushi was not a person to disrespect her elders so she gave Maya a small smile and was walking past her to leave when Maya stopped her..

Maya: wait khushi.. I need to talk to you..

Khushi stopped and Maya holding her hand took her to a corner where no one could hear them..

Khushi: aunty?

Maya: look Khushi.. I'm not here to argue with you.. I just want to warn you to stay away from Arnav..

Khushi: aunty i..

Maya: let me finish.. I have no personal enmity with you Khushi.. but i don't want you in my sons life.. having you in our family we have faced a lot and I had almost lost my husband.. I don't want you back in our lives and face something similar again.. So all I can say is stay away from my son.. Don't near him and try to get back in our lives..

Khushi was just standing and hearing Maya.. She felt hurt listening to her and tears were about spill out of her eyes when she remembered that she had promised herself that she will remain strong from now on.. So she held back her tears and spoke..

Khushi: firstly.. it's your son who is nearing me and not the other way round.. so if you wish to warn someone it should be him not me..  Secondly.. I was never the reason for the problem in your family.. let me clear this for you once and for all aunty.. it was me who lost my parents.. it was me who became orphan at the age of 8.. it was me who was left alone by you and your family never to look back at after my parents death.. all the pain, sorrows, difficulties was for me.. only me.. not for Arnav.. if we see it logically it was Arnav who was bad fortune for me and my family and not the other way round.. Because I lost everything while your family just had to go through a few hard days.. I should be blaming your son for the death of my parents..  but I won't do that.. Because after that there won't be any difference between us.. Which I would never wish for..

Saying that she was about to leave from there when she stopped and turned back to Maya once again..

Khushi: and don't worry aunty..  I would never ever enter back into your lives.. not because I think im bad fortune for you all but because your family doesn't deserve a person like me as your daughter in law..

Saying that she finally left to her car and then to her home.. Leaving back a shocked Maya behind..

Same night (hotel Golden tulip)

Khushi was invited for a Birthday Party of her friend kritika. The Party was in garden. The entire garden was sparkling with colorful lights and the birthday girl was greeted by friends and relatives.. Khushi entered in with Mia and Jiya.. she dint wish to come to the party but her friends forced her promising that they would leave back  for home soon..

She was standing in a corner with her friends talking and sipping her soft drink when she saw him. He was wearing a dark green shirt with Black Suit and Trouser. He was dancing with the birthday girl kritika.. Khushi dint know why but she felt something prick her heart seeing him dance with someone like that.. not that she dint know his image..  after knowing about their broken engagement she had seen his pics and had read news about him with many girls in the newspaper.. she knew he was way too handsome and girls were going crazy for him.. she never felt jealous reading all that.. but today seeing him so close to kritika she felt jealous.. why? She dint know? She continued having her drink and tried not glancing at him.. she dint wish him to see her.. but she was too late.. he had already seen her the minute she entered the party..
