Ariella's POV

"Ah, you said you would go easy. I guess you were lying."

Toshi chuckles as we move in a type of circle, watching each other's move. "I'll converse in Japanese so you can keep your pride miss. We can never go easy, there will never be a time when an enemy goes easy." He says, his voice turning deeper.

He runs up to me and jumps while kicking his foot in the air, causing me to bend my back down and dodge it, standing up straighter for a second before kicking my own foot.

He dodges it before smirking.

He walks away for a bit, taking two long training sticks and giving one to me.

"Why do they have padding on them?" I ask him, running my hand over the soft surface.

"Company didn't approve of our normal ones, too dangerous." He shrugs and I slightly chuckle, getting ready.

We attack and defend, using the sticks as our weapons and shields. He stops his stick right in front of my head before smiling.

"One, zero, keep your focus."

My jaw slightly clenches as I focus on his movements. This time when he hits his stick forward, I hold my stick with both hands and block it, pushing it away before attacking.

But he catches me off guard and trips me, causing me to fall on my back.

"Oh fuck."

My head looks to the side as I take a couple breaths, seeing Doyoung, Renjun and the stranger look at me with wide eyes.

Go back to your weights

I stand up, looking down at the stick and throwing it away.

Toshi chuckles and does the same.

"Two, zero, even out the scores."

I start to high kick, cornering him and pushing him back with each step and kick I fling towards him.

He holds my ankle in my last kick, pushing it down but I use it to my advantage and push down into his thigh while he's still holding my ankle, pushing myself up and towards him, leaping off the ground and swinging my leg on his shoulder.

I hook my leg in place and pull down, causing us to land on my back smoothly before rolling backwards, moving my leg that hooked around his shoulder a bit so when we roll, he's now on his back groaning in pain while I'm kneeling on him.

"You haven't used that one in a while." He grumbles, siting up as I walk away from him.

"One, two."

I hear his steps run towards me from behind so I turn around while stepping to the side, grabbing his arm that he punched forward and twisted it around his back, kicking the back of his knee to make him fall forward on his knees.
