"Congrats my dearest sister!" Kira hugged me tightly.
After five years of studying here in states and to my uncounted sleepless nights. Iʼve finally got my MBA diploma. Two years ago, I already got my diploma in Bachelorʼs degree. Afterwards, I took up a masters degree which is Master of Business Administration.
I smiled widely in front of her. "Thank you Ki!"
I remembered the time when I was still new here. I experienced a different environment that I haven't experience before. Unlike before in the Philippines... the weather, people and environment, Kira and I was in culture shock.
There are some few adjustments that we did. At first, we thought that we can't live here but I am thankful that we survived. Tapos na ang limang taon namin dito sa states.
"Nakahanda na po ang pagkain mga Señorita!" masiglang bati ni Yaya Linda.
Yes, she's also here. Yssa sent Yaya Linda here to help me and also Kira. We're both busy in school and also Kira with her personal duty.
"Thanks Ya!" Nagpahanda kasi si Kira ng mga pagkain para sa amin. We have a small gathering to celebrate my Graduation. Hindi nga lang makararating si Yssa dahil busy siya sa work.
Babawi na lang daw siya pag-uwi namin ng Pilipinas.
Maybe after months, we will be able to go home. I don't like to work here though. I'll face my responsibility when we went home. We promised to Dad and Mom that we will make them proud.
Malapit na... Pag-uwi namin ng mansyon.
"Ya, where's Nate?" I asked.
"Natutulog si Nate sa kwarto niya," Yaya Linda answered. "Gisingin ko ba?"
"N-no, let him sleep for a while," I said.
Nag-ring naman ang cellphone ko. I swiped the screen and answer the call. "Bitch? Where are you?" I retorted.
"Chill, g na g ah! Katatapos lang kaya ng meeting namin!"
Napadako naman ang tingin ko kay Kira na kakalabas lang ng kwarto.
"Who's that?" mahina niyang tanong.
"Bilisan mo na, after ten minutes at wala ka pa—"
"Your wife is mad! Faster Zi!" Kira laughed beside me.
"Gagi, Kira heto naaa!" tarantang sagot naman ni Zian sa kabilang linya.
"Kalokohan mo talaga Ki," sambit ko matapos ang tawag.
"Hintayin na lang natin dumating si Zi!" ani Kira.
"Yeah. I'll change my clothes—"
"Wait, don't change your clothes yet. We need to take a picture later. We will send it to Yssa!"
