𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗠𝗦 - 𝖠𝗅𝖻𝖾𝖽𝗈 -

ALBEDO STIRRED IN HIS SLEEP,
Eyes clenching and relaxing every now and then and switching positions as he dreamt which surprisingly enough, didn't wake you who was sleeping right next to him. But what was he dreaming about? Perhaps it was a nightmare or was he confused?
In his dream, Albedo stood underneath a tall knotwood tree by a steep hill. The wind was soft and the sky was painted a hazy shade of Orange and yellows.
A forceful breath escaped his lips like something had just gone through his chest, causing him to stumble forward. Albedo said nothing and looked around him, confused as to where he was and what was going on until a very familiar voice caught his ears.
"Albedo.." you whispered, smiling sadly at him with tear-stained eyes. His breath hitched at the sound of your voice before turning around to face you.
There you were in your favorite summer dress with your hand held together. "(Y/n)? Do you know where we are?" He asked, stepping forward but you didn't reply. Confused, Albedo asked again but this time tears began to run down your cheeks.
"If only.. we had a little more time." You spoke, nearly choking up into a sob.
Albedo's eyes brows knitted together with worry washing over his shoulders after hearing those words. "H-hey, what are you saying?" He moved closer to you this time, his hands reaching out to touch you only for his heart to suddenly hammer heavily against his chest.
At that moment, Albedo hissed in pain. His breathing felt ragged and unsteady along with his head dizzying.
".. I'm gonna miss you so much.." you whimpered and Albedo asked yet again what was going on despite the agony he was experiencing.
Then, he looked to his gloved hands to see the tips of his fingers fading to white which continued to run down his wrists and arms.
Shocked, Albedo stumbled back as he watched his hands dissipate into the air like dust.
"Goodbye, Albedo.." he heard you say as his entire body started to fade white and the skin on his cheeks cracking before dissipating into thin air. He couldn't even say anything but watch you fade into nothingness through his blurry vision until everything went pitch black.
Though it was a hellish nightmare, Albedo hadn't woken up from his sleep. But his body subconsciously moved closer to your sleep form and rested his head on your chest with his arms snaking securely around your waist.
It woke you up and when you were just about to open your mouth to speak, your tired eyes fell upon your lover, with clear distress written all over his face before nuzzling his nose into your hair, getting as close as possible.
With a soft smile, you gently ran your fingers through his hair and planted a few kisses to his forehead to which Albedo responded with his legs entangling with your own under the sheets.
Then finally, his face relaxed and his grip around you loosened, returning to the peaceful slumber he deserved.
Once you made sure he was okay, you whispered a quiet 'I love you' to him before falling back asleep.
The next morning, Albedo had woken up first with a splitting headache beginning to wrap around his head.
Pulling himself up with his popping joints, he saw you there sleeping soundly with your hair messily pressed against the pillow and your arm dangling over the edge of the bed. "Oh thank goodness.." he sighed in relief before laying back down and facing the ceiling only for him to turn his head back to you.
Though your hair was a mess with a few strands of hair fall on the pillows, your arm dangling at the edge and your blouse lifted just a little where your stomach was exposed, Albedo couldn't help but blush.
He found you so pretty just existing in the moment laying in bed with him. Though you wouldn't never accept his compliments where he called you beautiful when you woke up, Albedo couldn't help but feel extremely blessed to have someone like you in his life.
Which was why he felt so scared during his nightmare that night.
You knew he wasn't entirely human at all and it scared him that he would soon disappear from the face of Teyvat, never to see his beloved ever again. He disliked the idea of being without you or not being able to hold your hand when you're scared or lonely.
Al he wanted was to share the wonders of life with you and he hoped nothing would come between the both of you.
Now as he thought deeply about the events of his dream, Albedo didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around you again, wishing and praying something like that would never happen.
