Chapter 41: The woods

Y/N's POV

Me, Clem, Lee, Rebecca, and Jane are in the woods walking trying to find the others. We saw Rebecca struggling. We slowed down so we could talk to her.

Y/N: Are you okay?

Clementine: We need to keep moving.

Rebecca: I'm fine, I'm just cold. I hope everyone is okay.

Lee: So do I.

Jane: If they aren't... nothing we can do about it.

Rebecca: Don't say things like that!

Jane: Fine! Sorry.

Rebecca: What if the herd is following us?

Lee: It's been at least an hour since I seen walkers.

Clementine: They are gone.

Rebecca: I know I should be glad that we escaped, but maybe we should have waited.

Y/N: The plan worked. We got out.

Jane: I know most of your people didn't make it, but Carver was crazy. If your people didn't panic--

Rebecca: Of course we panicked! We were scared!

She then grabbed her belly in pain.

Rebecca: I need to stop. I'm sorry. I don't want to slow us down.

Lee: It's okay, take a minute.

Rebecca: Alvin was supposed to be here for this.

Clementine: Kenny might know what to do, he had a family.

Lee: He should. Yeah.

Jane: What are you gonna do with it?

Rebecca: What do you mean by that?

Jane: Just making conversation. It was nothing.

Rebecca: No. What do you mean by that? Do with what? My baby?

Jane: I'm just looking at the worst case scenario. You guys won't be able to raise a baby by yourselves.

Clementine: That baby is coming, like it or not.

Jane: Fine. And then what? It's going to be helpless, and you can't protect it!

Lee: You don't know that!

Rebecca: Just because you are a loner who doesn't care about anyone but herself doesn't mean you know better then me.

Jane: I seen it before. Back when it started... me and my sister, we were--

Rebecca: What!? She died!? I don't need your pity!

Jane: You don't have the right..

she then walks away.

Rebecca: Dammit.

Lee: God, I hope Carley and everyone else is alright.

Clementine: Me too.

Y/N: Thanks for coming back for us Lee.

Lee smiles.

Lee: Of course.

We then continued walking.
