Chapter 80: Rooftops

Y/N's POV

Me and Clem were sitting down with each other. She was laying on my shoulder as I was laying on her head. Then Kate comes to us.

Kate: Let's go look for Javi and David.

Y/N: Okay.

We all go up to the roof. We also found Tripp on the way up here.

Kate: I found them, they're up here!

She walks up to Javi.

Kate: Be careful, Javi. I ran into Tripp.

Javi: Oh...

Timeskip to the highway.

We make it to the highway.

Y/N: Fuck heights man.

Clementine: Don't worry, we are fine.

Lee: This reminds me of Savannah.

Kenny: Now that's a bad memory.

Carley: You're telling me.

Sarita: Savannah.

Duck: We were there when we were looking for a boat.

We then see a blockade.

Y/N: Fuck.

We see walkers behind us. We get across. Tripp had walkers on him, but he dealt with them and got over. We keep walking until we see a crashed helicopter that was in the highway.

David: We have to get across.

Gabe got to close to the ledge. David puts his hand on Gabe's shoulder, but Gabe gets it off.

Y/N: I know Gabe doesn't see it, but David's really trying to look out for him.

Clementine: He's not doing the best job, but... no one gives you a rulebook to raise a kid.

Javi: They sure as shit don't.

Duck: Did David really think he was helping AJ by letting him go?

Javi: Maybe you should ask him that.

David: AJ was a brat. He lived with me after we kicked you two out. And I had already raised two kids, I thought it would easy now. Pfff, not with that tyrant.

Javi: Is that why you gave him away?

David: We had a bad winter. Destroyed every single crop we had. I couldn't leave Richmond, and AJ couldn't stay. It wasn't safe anymore. I gave him to Lingard and told him to do whatever he had to do to save his life. I won't lie, I miss him.

Javi: Sounds like you did the right thing.

David: I hope so.

We walked to the helicopter and Javi grabbed one of the blades.

David: Wait! You're not thinking...?

Javi: It's that or go back.

Y/N: This is how I die.

David: Let's go lightest to heaviest.

Gabe: I'll go first.

He then swings across. I whisper to Clem.

Y/N: If Gabe is calling you fat, I'm killing him.

Clem smiles at me in response. She swings across, I swing across, my whole group swings across, Kate swings across, David swings across, then when Javi does, it breaks. Tripp has no way across.

Tripp: It's alright y'all. Y'all head out now. I don't want you seeing this!

Then the walkers get to Tripp and he falls off the highway.

Kenny: Fuck!

Carley: He went out fighting.

Javi: Come on. We're almost there.

We made it to the water tower. Javi went down and covered himself in walker guts and gets to the generator to turn it on. We then all get to the garage.
