Chapter 100: Funeral

Y/N's POV

We got the rest of the group and left the dorms and went outside. We see AJ looking at the dried up puddle of Marlon's blood on the ground. We walk over to everyone at the graveyard.

Aasim: Oh god, they're here.

Violet: So what? They knew Brody, didn't they?

Omar: Yeah, but Marlon-

Violet: Just leave them alone.

Louis: Shit.

AJ looks at us.

AJ: Why do people have funerals?

Y/N: To remember people you loved in your life.

AJ: They loved Marlon.

Clementine: Yeah.

AJ: I made them all sad. Like if someone took one of you guys away. Does everyone get a funeral?

Lee: People do, some animals too.

AJ: Even monsters?

Carley: Marlon did bad things, but he wasn't a monster.

Violet: Tenn, you ready?

Tenn: Brody. You always wanted to go to the beach. So I drew you this.

He puts a drawing on her grave. Violet walks up to Marlon's grave.

Violet: Marlon was... I can't. Not for Marlon. After what he did to the twins and Brody.

Louis: Dude, don't.

Mitch: Seriously, Louis? He was your best friend. He wasn't perfect, but he deserved better then to get gunned down by that kid. AJ killed him like he was nothing. We all saw it, and no one stopped him.

Duck: You're right, Mitch.

Sarita: He didn't deserve what AJ did to him.

Louis: Fuck, I can't listen to this.

AJ: What I did was bad, and I'm gonna make it up to you. I promise.

Violet: You don't have to make up shit! Marlon was a fucking murderer, and a liar, and if we'd all asked more questions about Minnie and Sophie disappearing last year, none of this would've ever happened!

Y/N: I agree with Violet.

Aasim: I mean, she isn't wrong.

Mitch: Who is responsible for Marlon?

Omar: A vote's the only way to settle this, or we'll be arguing forever.

Violet: Fine. I guess we're fucking voting.

She turns to Tenn.

Violet: Louis needs to vote. Could you go get him?

Tenn nodds and walks away with Rosie. Violet looks at us.

Violet: Can you guys go wait in the dorms? I'll come get you after we vote.

We start to walk away. AJ stops and turns to everyone.

AJ: Please don't kick us out.

AJ turns back around and walks with us back to the dorms.
