Chapter 75: Lingard

Y/N's POV

We were able to get in Richmond through a sewer.

David: This'll go a lot better if we split up. A group this big can't exactly sneak around. Particularly if they're expecting us.

Tripp: Eleanor's in there somewhere. I'm going after her.

David: Lingard brought her to the clinic. That's your best bet. Javi, that's where you'll go to get Kate and Gabe. Then bring them to my house. It's the one with the raven on the hitching post. We'll all meet up there, after I pay a little visit to Joan... Stay out of sight. They'll be keeping an eye out for us.

Javi: As soon as I can get Kate and Gabe, we'll see you back at the house.

David: Roger that.

David then crouch walk away.

Tripp: I'll scout ahead.

Tripp then walks away. Javi looks at us

Javi: What about you guys?

Lee: I'm pretty sure we still got some friends in the New Frontier.

Kenny: If they know where AJ's being held, they'll tell us.

Carley: When we find him, we are taking the truck.

Javi: Well, you are owned a vehicle.

Clementine: Keep an eye on David. He may be playing nice, but I'd still watch your back.

Javi: He's my brother. That still means something to me.

Y/N: Don't be trapped by it. Family means something different now. You have to make it for yourself.

Sarita: See you when we see you.

We run away.

Timeskip

We made it in the hospital. We had to silently take out the guards. We are both walking down the halls to find Lingard. Me and Clem split with everyone else.

Clementine: Ahh!

I look at Clem to see her clutching on her stomach.

Y/N: Are you okay?

Clementine: I'm fine.

Y/N: Are you sure? That doesn't sound okay.

Clementine: I SAID I'M FINE!

I was shocked with her outburst. Clem then looked at me with guilt.

Clementine: I-I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean to yell at you.

Y/N: N-No it's fine.

Clementine: Let's just find Lingard.

Y/N: Okay.

I know something is wrong with Clem. But I don't know what it is. We find Dr. Lingard's room. He is passed out on the chair.

Y/N: Of course.

Clementine: Dammit.

She then started looking in the drawers and cabinets.

Y/N: What are you looking for?

She ignores me. She then clutched her stomach again in pain.

Y/N: Clem.

I hear her sigh.

Clementine: Fine. You won't understand though.

Y/N: What is it?

Clementine: I started... bleeding.

Y/N: Where?

Clementine: It's a thing... that girls have. Carley and Sarita and the other women we traveled with all had it.

Y/N: So you are on your period?

She then looks at me in shock.

Clementine: You know what that is?!

Y/N: I heard you and Christa talk about it. You are just growing up. Your body is developing. I'm not the best person to talk about this since boys go through something different.

Clementine: What do men go through?

Y/N: Nothing painful. All we do is grow hair on our body. Facial, chest, arms, legs, armpits. And big bushes of hair on our "thing".

Clementine: Okay.

Y/N: We are both growing up. And also with your body developing. We could... become parents. I-If you wanted to.

Clem smiles.

Clementine: Funny. I already felt like we were parents. We were technically AJ's parents when taking care of him.

Y/N: I feel the same. But if AJ wants siblings when he gets older. You know.....

Clem giggles.

Clementine: Okay I get it dork.

She then clutched her stomach again.

Clementine: I'm searching for something that helps this period.

Javi then comes in with a cut on his arm.

Y/N: Javi?

Clementine: What happened to you?

Javi: My piece of shit nephew got me cut by a guard.

Y/N: Gabe? I wouldn't be surprised.

Clementine: Let me fix that cut.

Javi: What were you two doing in here.

Y/N: Found Lingard.

Clementine: Also I'm on my period.

Javi: Really? Well you can go talk to Kate. She can help with that.

After Clem fixed Javi's cut. Javi gave Clem the stuff she needs to help her period. Lingard wakes up.

Lingard: Clem? Y/N?

Y/N: Wheres AJ?

Lingard: You want to know where the boy is?

He gets out a shot and some drugs.

Lingard: I want to die. If you inject me with this. I will tell you.

I do what he says and inject him with it.

Lingard: You will find him at the McCarroll Ranch. You better hope Joan don't find you.

He then dies. I stab him in the head to make sure he doesn't turn. Clem walks up to me.

Clementine: Now we know where he is.

She smiles.

Y/N: After we get out. We can find him.

Javi: Let's go.

We walk out of the room to see Gabe and someone we haven't seen in a year. Ava....

Ava: Clem, Y/N, long time no see.

Javi: We are hiding inside a apartment. Let's go. Those two already got guns.

Y/N: Nice.

We see the rest of our group come over.

Lee: There you guys are.

Carley: Took a while.

Y/N: Good news, we know where AJ is.

Kenny: Really?! Where?!

Clementine: At the McCarroll Ranch.

Sarita: We need to go there after this!

Duck: Yeah! We do!

We then walk out of the hospital.
