Chapter 57: Camp

Season 3

Y/N's POV

We were walking for a while. We went to a big open space somewhere in the forest.

Lee: This looks like a safe place.

Kenny: I think we can set camp here.

Clementine: Are we sure?

Y/N: Lee, let's check the bags.

We check our bags. We had food, water, supplies, First Aid Kit, and we four tents. Three big, one small.

Duck: I call the small one!

Carley: I say me and Lee share one.

Sarita: Me and Kenny can share one.

Y/N: Me and Clem will share the last one.

Clementine: Of course.

Lee: We need to set up a campfire for when it gets dark.

Kenny: Maybe we can set some tables around. When we can eat together.

Carley: We need to make this camp as safe as it can be.

Duck: I don't think it will be safe forever.

Sarita: But we need to keep it like that for as long as we can.

We then spend the rest of the day setting up camp. We got our tents up, we have a campfire. We had pillows and blankets. I think we will be just fine. We can also hunt as well, and we would know if walkers are nearby because of the bushes. We were all about to get in our tents. I see Kenny walk up to me.

Kenny: Hey Y/N.

Y/N: Hi Kenny.

Kenny: I... wanted to give you something.

Y/N: What is it?

He then takes off his hat.

Kenny: I want you to have this.

Y/N: Really?

Kenny: Yeah. I think you'll look good with it on. Clem already has one, and Duck doesn't want it.

I take the hat.

Y/N: Thanks Kenny.

Kenny: Yep, you can also give it to AJ when he gets older.

Y/N: Yeah.

Kenny then walks off. I walk in me and Clem's tent. Clem was putting AJ to sleep. Me and her was able to make a crib. Everyone thought it should be in our tent. So we keep him.

Clementine: Hey Y/N.

Y/N: Hey Clem.

Clementine: It was a long day.

Y/N: Sure was. At least we got finished.

Clementine: Now we can relax.

Y/N: You think this camp will be safe.

Clementine: I think so.

Y/N: I hope it stays like that for a while.

Clementine: Me too.

Y/N: Shall we go to sleep?

Clementine: Yes.

We set up our sleeping bag. We get our pillows and blankets. We keep a short distance away from each other.

Clementine: Goodnight Y/N.

Y/N: Goodnight Clem.

We then fall asleep.

Lee's POV

Me and Carley are in our tent. We were getting ready to sleep.

Carley: Sounds like Clem and Y/N has everything under control.

Lee: They sure do.

I smile. Carley sees it.

Carley: What's up?

Lee: It's just how they are growing up. I remember when they were just innocent little kids. I can't believe they are becoming more mature.

Carley chuckles.

Carley: It's wonderful.

Lee: It sure is.

Carley: Goodnight Lee.

Lee: Goodnight Carley.

We both kiss and cuddle as we head to sleep.

Kenny's POV

Duck: Goodnight Dad.

Kenny: Night Duck.

Duck: Goodnight Sarita.

Sarita: Goodnight.

Duck leaves the tent and heads to his.

Sarita: Your son is one of a kind.

I laugh.

Kenny: He is.

Sarita: Don't you think it's.... weird for him?

Kenny: What?

Sarita: I'm not his mother. I know she's dead. But don't you think it's weird for him to see his dad loving another woman.

Kenny: I think it's fine. He doesn't hate you.

Sarita: I guess.

Kenny: How about we sleep.

Sarita: Yeah. Goodnight Kenny.

Kenny: Goodnight darling.

We kiss then fall asleep.
