Chapter 48: Gunfight

Y/N's POV

Everyone was shooting their guns. I was on the ground.

Mike: I'm hit!

Kenny: You started this shit!

I see Clem, Lee, Carley, and Luke behind cover. They see me.

Luke: Y/N!

Clem: Y/N!!! OVER HERE!!!! HURRY!!!!!

Carley: WAIT!!!

She points towards something on the ground. Lee sees it too.

Lee: Y/N! THE BABY!!! GRAB HIM!!! WE'LL COVER YOU.

I then see the baby on the ground. I run over there and grab him and get behind cover where Clem and Luke is. Clem then hugs me tightly.

Clementine: When I saw you laying in the snow. I-I thought--

Y/N: It's okay Clem. I'm okay.

I hand Clem the baby as I get my gun out.

Luke: I need you to cover me guys.

Y/N: We'll try.

Luke: Good. On my go. GO!

I then start shooting the Russians as Luke tries to distract them.

Kenny: Hey! What are you--

Luke then gets shot in the leg. He crawls to us.

Luke: He got me in the leg, but I think the bullet went through... shit, I don't know.

Kenny runs to Arvo and grabs him. He holds him hostage.

Sarita: Kenny?

Duck: Get him!

Kenny: You get out here, or I put a bullet in this kid's head!

Arvo's sister turns. I shot her while she was crawling to us.

Arvo: Nooooo!

One of the Russians gets to us but they he started choking blood. He turns around to see a knife in the back of his neck. It was Jane. Kenny then shoots the Russian. All of the Russians were dead. 

Kenny: It's safe to come out.

Clem gives Bonnie the baby. We all walk to Rebecca's corpse.

Mike: How did this happen?

Luke: She... turned. Just like that.

I was looking at her with a sad face. Clem noticed and put her hand on my shoulder.

Clementine: This wasn't your fault Y/N. You protected the boy.

Lee: You did the right thing Y/N.

Carley: Yeah, you did.

Luke: She just lost too much blood. It ain't nobody's fault.

Duck: She's with Alvin now.

Bonnie: Yeah... Yeah, she is.

Kenny closed his fist and walked towards Arvo. He grabs him.

Kenny: You piece of shit!

He starts punching him.

Bonnie: Hey! Hey!

Bonnie hands me the baby as Mike went to get Kenny off of Arvo.

Kenny: Get off me!

Mike: It's over, man. He ain't a threat to us.

Kenny: How can you say that? Of course he is!

Kenny gets his gun out.

Kenny: Get out of the way.

Y/N: Move out of the way, Mike.

Clementine: Yeah. Move.

Luke: You... Y/N, Clem, you don't mean that.

Lee: I say shoot him.

Carley: Me too.

Sarita: He tried to get us killed.

Duck: Kill him!

Arvo: There is house, food... please. Please, I can take you.

Kenny: Bullshit!

Arvo: No, no! Is true. We have place. Not far. Food.

Luke: See? He wants to help.

Kenny: Oh, don't be stupid. He's just trying to save his skin. Why the hell would you help us? Huh?

Arvo: I... I not want to see more people dead.

Kenny: Then close your eyes and I'll make it quick.

Clementine: He's lying.

Y/N: We can't trust him.

Jane: It's worth the risk to check this place out. Trust him, don't trust him, it doesn't matter. We should go anyway.

Kenny: You stay outta this! You're the reason these fuckers came after us in the first place.

Jane: Don't put that all on me.

Bonnie: Think about the baby. If there are supplies, we need them. We ain't gonna last much longer without more food.

Kenny then puts his gun away.

Kenny: We got something to tie this shitbird up?

Bonnie: Yeah, I got something.

Arvo: Follow me, I take you.

Kenny: Just gimme a reason.

Luke: Yeah, man. He gets it.

We then start following Arvo.
