Chapter 91: Assignments

Y/N's POV

We were all up and walking up the stairs to find Marlon. We go to the room, but Marlon wasn't in there, Tenn was. He was playing with toys, he sees us.

Tenn: Hey, guys. Thanks for the pencils. I missed having colors.

AJ sat down on the floor with Tenn. He picks up one of Tenn's toys.

AJ: Who are these guys?

Tenn: Firefighters.

AJ picks up another toy.

Tenn: That's a policeman. He's gonna save the day.

AJ: But what are they?

Tenn: These were the people who protected us.

AJ looks at us.

AJ: Where are they? I've never seen one before.

Y/N: Cops were good people. They protected us, the law. They didn't always do the right thing. But cops were what helped deal with bad people.

Lee: A cop almost took me to prison.

Clementine: Maybe you'll get to meet one, some day.

Tenn: Now give it to me and....

AJ: No. He's mine now.

AJ takes the toy.

Tenn: Hey, give it back.

AJ: No.

Tenn: You don't even know what they are!

Clementine: Okay, okay.

Clem takes the toy.

Clementine: That's enough, you two.

She gives it back to Tenn.

AJ: It's mine.

Y/N: No it's not, AJ.

AJ: Fine.

Kenny: Do you know where Marlon is?

Tenn: I don't know. He should be around. I'll go find him.

Duck: Thanks, Tenn.

Tenn then leaves the room. AJ sees something sitting on a shelf.

AJ: Look!

He grabs it from the shelf and shows it to us, it was a picture of Louis and Marlon when they were little kids. Then we heard the door creak.

Carley: Marlon?

The door bust open, and it's Rosie. Clem gasped and got behind me quick. Rosie starts growling, AJ also got behind me. Marlon then came in.

Marlon: Rosie!

Rosie stops growling.

Marlon: You said you had a bad experience with a dog before?

Clementine: Yes.

Marlon: Well Rosie here can help you with that. Give me your hand.

Clementine: No.

Y/N: Here, watch this Clem.

I let Rosie smell and lick my hand so Rosie can get my scent.

Marlon: There.

Everyone else does it.

Y/N: Your turn Clem. You trust me?

Clementine: I...I do.

I take her hand and bring it to Rosie's level. She smells and licks Clem's hand.

Marlon: Now tell her to go lie down.

Clem does so and Rosie sits down in the corner of the room.

Marlon: There, now that you guys are staying, let's talk about your assignments, here is the map.

We look at the map and looked at everything. And we talked about our assignments.

Y/N: Okay. Duck and I will go hunting with the boys. Clem, you and AJ can go fishing with the girls.

Clementine: Okay.

AJ: I would like to go fishing.

Lee: You see......

Kenny: We're kinda old.

Marlon: Adults can stay here. We could use help from anything here.

Sarita: Okay.

Carley: That seems fair.

Marlon: Alright then. Y/N and Duck, Louis and Aasim will be waiting for you. Clem, Violet and Brody will be waiting for you.

Me, Clem, Duck, and AJ walk out.

Y/N: I will see you two in a bit.

Clementine: Okay, be careful.

Y/N: You too, both of you.

Me and Clem give each other a quick kiss as we split up.

Duck: Can't wait.

Y/N: Yeah.
