Chapter 45: Labor

Y/N's POV

We come back to Parker's Run with Luke and Sarah.

Mike: Son of a bitch. You found them.

Luke: I'm amazed myself.

Rebecca: Where's Nick?

Luke: Rebecca... how about we go for a walk for a minute?

Bonnie walks up to us.

Bonnie: Give them some space. I need to tell you guys something.

We then walk with her.

Bonnie: I ain't gonna sugarcoat this. That baby's coming even faster then Rebecca's letting on. I was hoping you might know... Does Luke know anything about babies?

Kenny: Duck is my son. So of course I would know stuff about babies.

Rebecca started screaming in pain.

Luke: Oh, shit! Does that mean what I think it does? What are we supposed to do?

Y/N: What's wrong?

Clementine: It's Rebecca.

Bonnie: Her water broke.

Y/N: That baby is coming.

Duck: What do we do?

Kenny: All right. All right... Gimme a sec.

Luke: She can't travel like this.

Jane: Yeah, she will make too much noise.

Kenny: We need clean water and blankets.

Bonnie: We need to get out of the cold too.

Mike: The map shows buildings nearby.

Bonnie: The museum seems like a good start. I'll go.

Luke: Good idea. Mike, think you could go with her?

Mike: Sure thing.

Jane: I'll check the building by the river.

Luke: Kenny can stick with Rebecca. I will check for walkers. Duck, Sarah, and Sarita will stay here.

Clementine: I will go with Jane.

Carley: I'll come with you.

Luke: Better go catch up then.

Y/N: I will go with Mike and Bonnie.

Lee: I'll go too.

Bonnie: Thank you. We will like the help.

Timeskip.

Bonnie: You are telling me your arms aren't tired?

Mike: Nope. I could do this all day.

We then hear Rebecca screaming. We run over to her. Everyone except Luke and Jane was there.

Kenny: Breathe like I told you.

Walkers then start coming for us.

Sarah: Oh, no... Clem... Y/N...

Sarita: Walkers!

Lee: How did they get here without anyone seeing them?!

Mike: Where the hell is Luke?!

Duck: We've gotta do something!

Kenny gets his crowbar and stands up.

Kenny: You just keep that baby safe.

Y/N: Kenny?

Bonnie: We can't stay here!

Rebecca: Clem, where is the place you, Carley, and Jane found?

Clementine: I'll show you.

Rebecca: Good. Someone help me up.

Bonnie helps her. Mike gets the water. And we start running. We make it to where Clem said Jane was. Me and Clem see Luke and Jane. They were sitting with each other, Jane's jacket wasn't fully zipped. And she was putting on her boots. They fucked.

Luke: That's about as human as I've felt in a long time. I almost forgot what--

Luke Sees me and Clem.

Luke: Clementine?! Y/N?!

Clementine: What's going on?

Luke: Well, uh... I mean...

Y/N: I know what they did Clem.

Everyone else gets in.

Kenny: What the fuck are you two doing up here?

Luke: Kenny! What's going on?

Kenny: We've got God-knows-how-many walkers out there which YOU were supposed to be keeping an eye out for.

Luke: Hey, hold on a second... Just tell me what's going on!

Rebecca then screams in pain.

Luke: Fuck, I'm sorry.

The walkers start coming up the stairs. Kenny stays inside to help Rebecca. We all start shooting the walkers.

Carley: There is too many!

Y/N: Let's use the cannon to block the gate!

Luke: I will help you!

We then push it, but due to it's weight and the week wooden floor. It went through the floor and made half of the deck collapse. Sarah fell off and got trapped under the floor.

Y/N: Sarah's in trouble!

Jane: There is nothing we can do!

I jump off the deck to save Sarah.

Clementine: Y/N NO!!!

I then try to get Sarah free but I can't. It was too late. They were on Sarah chewing her up as I quickly run back up to the deck. Clem runs at me and hugs me tightly, I hug back.

Clementine: It's okay. It wasn't your fault.

We break off the other half of the deck. We then see the baby lifeless in Kenny's hand.

Bonnie: Oh, no.

Lee: No......

Then the baby started coughing. We all had a smile on our face as the baby was born.
