Chapter 7: Savannah

Y/N's POV

Me and the whole group was walking down the road. I saw that Lee had Clem's walkie. I was confused at first. Then I remember that Clem was talking to someone back at the motel. Clem kept staring at the walkie on Lee.

Clementine: Can't I just hold it?

Lee then looked at her.

Lee: Not now, I need you to focus. Keep your attention on the street.

Clementine: Okay. Sorry.

Lee: How's Omid?

Christa: His leg's pretty bad.

Omid: I'm fine.

Christa: You're not fine, you need to rest. He needs to rest.

Lee: Kenny, how much farther to the river front?

Kenny: Should be just a few more blocks up ahead.

Christa: And there'll be boats there?

Lee: There sure as hell better be.

Kenny: There'll be boats. Have to be. Have to be.

Ben: It's going to be okay. Kenny knows what he's doing.

Duck: Yeah! Dad also knows what he's doing!

Kenny smiled at Duck. Then a bell started ringing.

Ben: What the hell?

We saw a bell tower.

Christa: Maybe this city's not so dead after all...

Kenny: Keep moving. No-one's ringing that bell, it's automatic, on a timer.

Lee: What kind of church bell goes off at twenty past the hour?

I saw someone up there.

Lee: Someone's up there.

Y/N: Yeah, I saw.

Ben: Are you sure? I don't see anything.

Y/N: I know what I saw. I'm telling you, there's someone up in that bell tower! Someone alive!

The radio comes on.

???: If I were you, I'd get out of the street, Now.

Lee picks up the walkie.

Christa: I thought you said that thing didn't work!

Lee: Who the hell is this?

It turned off.

Lee: Hello? Hello?! I said answer me!

Omid: What the hell was that? Is someone trying to fuck with us?

Ben: Sounded more like a warning.

Chuck: Ask not for whom the bell tolls...

Kenny: What're you yammerin' on about?

Chuck: It tolls for thee...

We look behind us to see lots of walkers.

Lee: Everybody, RUN!!!

We do what he says and we run. We even fight some off while running. Carley got her gun out and started shooting. One of them grabs Kenny.

Duck: Dad!

Lee: Kenny!

He gets his gun and shoots the walker that has Kenny.

Kenny: Little too close, don't ya think.

Clementine: Y/N! Ben!

Me, Clem, and Ben were surrounded by the walkers. Clem was hiding behind me as I shot walkers. Duck tried to help us, but Kenny held him back. Carley shot some of the walkers. But then she ran out of bullets.

Carley: SHIT! I'M OUT!

Kenny: Stay here, Duck!

Lee: Ben! Help them!

Y/N: Yeah Ben! I'm gonna need all the--

I see Ben run away.

Y/N: Ben!

As I was still shooting walkers, I was looking for a opening. I see one and turn to Clem.

Y/N: Go!

Clementine: What about you?!

Y/N: JUST GO!!!!

I push Clem to safety as Lee held onto her.

Clementine: Y/N!!!!! NOOOO!!!!!!

She tried running back to me but Lee held onto her.

Clementine: Y/N!!! Y/N!!!!!!!

She was now crying. She was scared for my life. I was still shooting walkers. But they were getting closer.

Lee: NOOOO!!!!

Carley: Y/N!!!! NOOO!!!!!

I close my eyes. But then Chuck come in with his shovel and started hitting walkers. Giving me a chance to run.

Clementine: Y/N!

She ran to me and hugged me tightly. She was crying in my shoulders.

Kenny: Move your asses! River Street's right up ahead!

Ben: That's not all...

We saw more walkers ahead of us.

Kenny: Oh, gimme a fucking break!

Christa: Wait, where the hell's Chuck?

We see him still fighting walkers.

Omid: Shit! He's in trouble, we gotta help him!

Kenny: There's no time! We've gotta go, now!

Chuck: I'll be fine! Just go!

We do as he says and run.
