Chapter 60: Meeting Ava

Y/N's POV

We were running for a while. Walkers were following us. We find a old trailer and get inside and shut the door and lock it.

Clementine: Think that will hold them?

Y/N: It damn well better.

Kenny: You said it.

Lee: Is there anything in here?

Clem sets down AJ and we sit down. Before we could talk, we hear knocking on the door.

???: I can hear you guys in there. Open up. Help me.

Clem grabs AJ as I get my gun out and aim at the door. A bald girl breaks in and holds the door to avoid walkers getting in.

???: I know you don't know me, but can you help me out?

Duck helps her hold the door while Clem still had AJ. They get the door shut so the walkers can't get in.

???: I'm Ava by the way.

We point our guns at her.

Ava: Woah, I'm not a threat.

Carley: Prove it.

Lee: You could be lying.

Clementine: We still don't know you.

Ava: I promise I don't want to hurt you guys.

She sees AJ.

Ava: Cute kid.

Kenny: Thanks?

Ava: You guys aren't his parents though. I can tell.

Sarita: Yeah.

AJ then starts coughing. He was catching a cold while we were running.

Ava: Kid's not feeling well.

Duck: Do you have a group?

Ava: Yeah, I lost them though. I hope they are okay. I can take you to our group. Help your kid get better.

Y/N: What is your group?

Ava shows us a brand on her skin.

Ava: We are called The New Frontier. I can take you to them and help your kid.

Y/N: Let us think about it.

Clementine: We should go.

Y/N: Yeah. If it means helping AJ.

Sarita: She seems nice.

Lee: Maybe we can get help.

Duck: She doesn't seem like trouble.

Carley: I guess so.

Kenny: Okay, fine.

We look at Ava.

Y/N: We will go.

Ava: Good. When these walkers leave. We will go.
