Chapter 8: Getting in the house

Y/N's POV

We ran until we found a house. We got through the gates because Kenny opened them.

Kenny: I'll get the door!

Omid fell as Lee closed the gates.

Lee: You okay?

Omid: Ugh...

Christa: You've opened your wound, you're bleeding! Shit, that's gonna get infected. We've got to get him inside, clean him up!

Lee: Kenny! Hows the door coming?!

Kenny: I'm working on it, I'm working on it!

Christa: Well work faster, would you?

Lee: let me see if I can find us a way in.

I see Clem standing by the gate. I walk up to her.

Y/N: Clem?

She looks sad.

Y/N: What's wrong?

Clementine: Why did you do that?

Y/N: Do what?

Clementine: You saved me, but you would've died.

Y/N: Clem, we had this talk on the train. I won't let anything happen to you.

Clementine: So you will just die?

Y/N: Yes!

Clem was shocked by my answer.

Y/N: Clem, I told you that my family is dead, yours is here in Savannah! You could find them here! I want you to see your family again.

Clementine: I also told you that you aren't alone! I'M here! I am here with you! I will always be here for you!

I sigh.

Y/N: I don't do stuff like this just to get myself killed. I already lost my parents. I can't bear losing you too.

Clem grabbed my hand.

Clementine: You won't.

She then pulls me in a hug. I hug back.

Y/N: Thanks Clem. By the way. I am mad at Ben for what he did.

Clementine: He was just scared.

Y/N: So he just leaves us?

Clementine: I know Y/N. But don't be mad at him.

Y/N: Can't promise that.

Clementine: Fine.

We then saw Lee get a shovel and started digging a grave. Clem walked over.

Clementine: What's buried down there?

Lee: Nothing, Clem, go over and sit with Carley, Christa, and Omid, or go be with Y/N and Duck over there, okay?

Clementine: But I want to-

Lee: Just do what I say, okay?

Clementine then walked towards me, Omid, and Christa. She looked hurt.

Y/N: He did not mean that to hurt you Clem.

Clementine: I know.

Carley: He just needs to work.

Lee finished and picked up a collar. he then unlocked the doggy door.

Lee: It looks like it has been empty a while.

He then tries to unlock the door.

Lee: Uugh... It's no good, I can't get it.

Ben: Here, let me try. I think I can-

Then Clem went through the doggy door.

We were all shocked.

Lee: Clem! Are you okay? Say something!

She then unlocks the door.

Clementine: Ta-Da.

Lee: Good job, Clem!

Ben: Yeah, way to go.

Clementine: I did good, right?

Lee: Yes you did. You did good.

Omid: Can we have this conversation inside? My leg's starting to hurt like hell.

Kenny takes a look inside.

Kenny: Looks okay from here, everybody in.

Duck: Good, It's cold out here.

Carley: I'm pretty sure it will be warm inside, Duck.

Duck: I hope so.

Everyone walks inside. I walk towards Clem.

Y/N: That was awesome Clem! Good job!

Clementine: Thanks Y/N.

We then walk inside.
