Chapter 110: Defending

Y/N's POV

Me and Clem climbed down the watchtower. We saw AJ looking through binoculars. He noticed us.

AJ: The raiders... That guy. He's gonna be with them.

Y/N: Yeah. Abel.

Clementine: Your bad dreams are all about him, are they?

AJ: Yeah.

AJ continues to use his binoculars.

AJ: Can I swear yet? I think it's time I can. If you guys do.

Clementine: Okay, but not the F word. Shit is the upper limit.

AJ: That guy is a f... a-a shitbird.

Y/N: Yep, he is.

AJ: I'd take a big shit on his head.

Y/N: Whoa, this just went up a new level.

Clementine: Alright, that's enough. Try thinking about something else. Count the monsters you see.

AJ: Same as before. Three...four...

Clementine: It's okay if Abel frightens you. You know how to control that.

AJ: There's ten monsters.

He looks at us.

AJ: He doesn't frighten me. But when he comes here. I call dibs.

Y/N: No AJ.

AJ: Why not?

Y/N: Because AJ, killing humans are different from killing walkers. I know we kill lots of walkers. But they are already dead. It doesn't matter if someone is good or bad. They are still humans. And each human we kill. It takes a small part of our humane away. Taking away a life. Sometimes we can kill people. But it's not always what we do. We kill them if we have to.

Clementine: Y/N is right, AJ.

AJ looks back at his binoculars.

AJ: I see something.

AJ gives the binoculars to Clem.

Y/N: What is it?

Clementine: It's them.

Y/N: Let's tell the others.

We all climb down the watchtower and walk to the middle of the courtyard.

Lee: Raiders?

Clementine: Yeah. They're here.

Kenny: Shit.

Louis: Well, in case it all goes to hell and I don't see you guys again, just know...I have no idea what the D stands for on your hat. Don't tell me. I prefer it to remain a mystery. But I'm gonna pretend like it stands for Don't Die. So just uh, listen to your hat, okay?

Y/N: We'll try.

The group gathers around.

Omar: We're ready.

Clementine: They've got at least four more people, all carrying guns. And carts, probably to carry people away.

Willy: Oh, no.

Mitch: Assholes.

Ruby: I can't believe they're really here.

Y/N: Willy and Mitch, if they get inside, Lilly knows us, so we'll keep them distracted and focused on us. You two should be able to get the bombs set.

Mitch: It'll be under the carts. It'll work.

Clementine: We fall back if they get in.

Louis: In the admin building.
