Y/N L/N, pilot of four years, serving in Anchorage Alaska, as a strike operations pilot in the United Nations Air Force.
Y/N: Lord knows this weather isn't great for the Fair Lady.
Jack: Yeah, but at least you have a plane to keep flying. After that last hit and run on the base, I am not sure mine will fly again anytime soon. But I am still surprised that you have managed to keep that old plane up in the air for this long.
Y/N: Well its not like Felix hasn't been a major help with that. I tell you what man, I wasn't fond of the Europeans much even before this whole war, but Ill give the man his credit where credit is due. He can tear that plane down and put it back together better than before. Hopefully with these new modifications he is adding it will help out with the control of her.
Jack: Here's hoping. I should probably get back to the grind then, those files wont sort themselves.
Y/N: See you later.
I watch as Jack walks back to the office building here on base. I finish the last of my bread roll and start heading to the mechanic buildings to check up on Felix and the Fair Lady.
................................................................................................................................................................
I enter through the side door and am immediately greeted by the strong smell of grease, oil, and aviation fuel. Air ratchets and other equipment fill the building with noise as a radio blasts rock music in the background.
Y/N: I swear, if it wasn't for that radio, these guys would never get any work done.
I continue walking through the hangar turned mechanic shop until I reach where the Fair Lady is parked with Felix neck deep in the cockpit with his feet up in the air.
*F4U Corsair, for your plane "the Fair Lady", change the paint job to be faded with various claw marks and holes scattered across the plane. It have the words "Fair Lady" painted on the sides of the plane, forward of the cockpit.*
Y/N: How's she doing Felix? You haven't broken her yet have you?
Felix: *muffled from being upside down in the cockpit* No, no I haven't yet you American bastard, your relic of an aircraft is still in one piece. Mostly. But you can can relax, I am just now finishing up the last of the connections.
Y/N: Well that's good to hear. She hasn't given you any issues while you were working has she?
Felix: *now clambering up from in the cockpit* No, not much at least. Aside from a wire or two that wanted to shock me or a zip tie that wanted to give me some blood loss treatment, but that's normal. But the good news is that she is finished once I get my tools out. The throttle control and stick have been replaced to a newer version, the gauge cluster has been refined, many of the old systems have been updated, and new weapon controls have been added to accessible places on the now more spacious dash.
