Barbara x Reader - Hanging Out

It was a typical warm day in Mondstadt but the temperature dropped the closer you got towards Wolvendom. You were on your way to collect some wolfhook for a commission when you heard shouting. You stopped walking to listen intently to the voice.

"Barbara-sama! Barbara-sama! Where are you, Barbara-sama!?" You heard a male voice scream. You rolled your eyes at his recklessness. Wolvedom was a dangerous area filled with stray hilichurls and slime. It was foolish to make so much noise unless you wanted to encounter those monsters.

You sighed to yourself. Since you were an adventurer, it was kind of your duty to make sure that the citizens of Mondstadt didn't get injured. You were about to find the moron who was screaming recklessly when a movement from the corner of your eye caught your attention.

You turned towards the figure and noticed a girl slightly shorter than yourself standing behind a tree with a worried look on her face. You looked at her curiously - blonde pigtails, porcelain skin, blue eyes, blue and white clothes, blue vision? You swore she looked familiar but you couldn't quite remember where you've seen her before.

You watched her turn around and peer around the tree. You followed her line of sight but you couldn't see what she was looking at exactly. You shrugged your shoulders and quietly approached her. You could've walked away and went on with your commission but your curiosity got the better of you.

You managed to sneak up behind the girl without her noticing.

"Hi there." You whispered, close to her ear. You watch with a smile as the girl jumps and presses her hands to her mouth and chest.

She turned to look at you with wide eyes but you noticed that she was also a little relieved. That made you even more curious what she was doing behind a tree like she was hiding from someone.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted to check if you were alright. Wolvendom isn't exactly a nice place to be." You whisper.

You watch the girl open and close her mouth like she was too shocked to answer. You were about to ask her if she was okay again when you heard another shout, but it sounded like they were closer this time.

You were about to make a rude comment about the guy when you suddenly felt a hand wrap around your wrist.

"Hey what a-"

"Shhhh! Please! We have to get out of here, please follow me!" The blonde girl frantically explained. You watched her curiously but you allowed her to pull you wherever she wanted without much resistance. She pulled you deeper into Wolvendom and the both of you hid behind a tunnel between two large rocks.

You stood beside the blonde girl who was trying to catch her breath, You watched her eyes dart around frantically. It was clear to you that she was running from the guy but you still didn't understand why. You listened to the area around you but you couldn't hear him anymore - just the faint sound of running water, rustling leaves, and birds chirping.

After a moment, you turned to look at the young girl and asked her the question that was on your mind. "So...why are you running from him? Is everything okay?" You tilted your head.

The nameless girl suddenly looked shy and frazzled. Her eyes were glued to the ground and she had her hands clasped behind her back. You watch her dig her foot into the ground.

"So....?" You prompted her.

"I-I'm sorry. T-that guy...his name is Albert and well...he's a big fan of mine."
