Lisa was strolling through the whispering woods with a book floating in front of her. She decided to do some light reading before going back to the library for a nap. Lisa was nearing the bridge when a loud explosion startled her. A flock of birds flew above the trees and the surrounding area rained down water.
"Fishy, fishy, come here fishyyyy!!" A high pitched voice sang. Lisa put her book away and walked to the edge of the forest. She sighed when she noticed a hyper little red ball running around in a circle around a pile of fish.
Lisa walked towards the child. "Klee...what are you doing, sweetie?"
Klee looked behind her and jumped up and down happily. "Miss. Lisa, Miss. Lisa!! Look at all the fishies that Klee caught!"
Lisa smiled down at the small child and knelt beside her. "My my, you certainly did catch a lot of fish, Klee. But didn't Miss. Jean tell you you can't be blowing up the fishies anymore?"
Klee's demeanour immediately changed from excited to bashful. She dug her toe into the ground and she tapped her fingers together.
"M-Maybe..." Klee pouted. A warm feeling bloomed in Lisa's heart when she saw how utterly adorable Klee looked. "Miss. Jean won't be mad at Klee right, Miss. Lisa?"
Lisa wanted to "aww" at the small child in front of her. "Why don't we go visit Miss. Jean, Klee?"
Klee jumped back in shock and shook her head frantically. "No, no, no! Miss. Jean will put Klee in the confinement room!"
Lisa smiled sweetly at the small child. "Oh Klee, Miss. Jean will appreciate it if you told her immediately instead of one of the Knights telling her. And Klee?" Lisa said, waiting for the child to look at her. Klee turned her large doe eyes to look up at Lisa.
"I'll make sure Miss. Jean doesn't put Klee in her special room, I promise." Lisa said, lifting her pink finger in front of Klee.
Klee looked between Lisa's pinky and her eyes before hooking her pinky with Lisa's. "Okay, you promise?"
Lisa nodded. "I promise, sweetie."
Lisa helped Klee gather her bounty of fish and held Klee's small hand in hers. On their way to Jean's office, the pair stopped by the Good Hunter to donate half of Klee's bounty to Sara who was absolutely shocked by the sheer amount of fish that Klee managed to catch with her unique hunting style.
A while later the two were standing in front of Jean's desk who was massaging her temple as Klee confessed to Jean.
"Oh Klee..." Jean sighed. "Are you okay, Klee? You didn't hurt yourself with your bombs did you?"
Klee shook her head and she avoided Jean's gaze at all costs. Lisa noticed the uneasy feeling from Klee and the tense aura that Jean exuded so she decided to step in. She walked to Jean's side and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Klee was very mature in the way she handled everything today. She came to you to tell you immediately about her actions, Jean and she even gave some fish to Sara for them to use at the restaurant. That was very kind of her, don't you think Jean?"
Jean looked up at Lisa questioningly. She saw Lisa's eyes dart towards Klee so Jean looked at the small child who seemed to be extremely nervous and worried. Jean sighed and figured that she was being too harsh on the young child. Klee had the innocent curiosity of a child and she didn't want to extinguish that by restricting Klee from doing what she loved doing.
Jean pushed her chair back. "Come here Klee." Jean said, motioning to her lap. The young child immediately scurried around the desk and launched herself onto Jean's lap. Jean smiled down at the young girl who she practically considered a "daughter" of some sorts since her parents have been away for a couple years now.
